Inspired by the talented, visionary women leaders growing Rakuten Symphony’s OSS Business Unit in India and around the globe!
On Wednesday 18th September, Rakuten Symphony’s OSS Business Unit hosted the first edition of its new ‘SHE-E-O series’ – a monthly forum to encourage the empowerment of female leaders within the organisation. The forum was set up with the aim of increasing opportunities for female leaders in the OSS Business Unit and allows female employees to discuss a wide variety of topics, including their careers, personal interests and how they achieve a healthy work-life balance. Over 600 employees from Rakuten Symphony India tuned in to the first edition of SHE-E-O. The session showcased insights into the OSS BU’s customer base, current operations and its future goals. The event included a ‘SHE-E-O Spotlight’, a session in which Sagarika Bose, Senior Engineer, Quality Assurance, shared her professional journey, aspirations, and reasons for joining Rakuten. A fireside chat with OSS BU President Rahul Atri followed, alongside Richa Khare, Technical Lead, Quality Assurance and Avani Ranawat, Intern, AI and Research. They engaged in a thought-provoking discussion on emerging tech trends, innovation, and team cohesion, covering key challenges within the business. The session rounded off with ‘SHE-E-O Inspires’, featuring a guest message from Subha Shrinivasan, VP, Customer Success, who discussed her own experiences as a female leader within the company. “We launched ‘SHE-E-O’ because we want to support female leaders to rise through our ranks to take the top positions within the OSS BU,” Rahul Atri, President, OSS Business Unit and Managing Director, Rakuten Symphony India, said. “It’s imperative that we do everything we can to support our female employees to fulfil their potential. With women excelling in roles from software development to marketing in the OSS BU, our dream is to pave the way for women to be future leaders.”
