Penta-Ocean Construction Co., Ltd arranged a two-week campaign in February 2024 to give books a second life! A total of 174 books were sent to Dignity Mama (Ng Teng Feng General Hospital), a vital initiative under Project Dignity. Under O.C.E.A.N. Platform and as part of our ESG (Social & Governance) Penta-Ocean HR Staff visit each of our project sites on a monthly rotating basis to improve communications, share HR policy, listen to feedback, build professional relationships, support and trust. During our visit we meet and greet new staff and conduct Q&A with all available staff. We also ensure to hold a round table with our POC women to confirm their optimal and appropriate working conditions as project sites can be challenging places! Toys Donation to Underprivileged Children from 1 Sept to 30 Sept 2023 This year Penta-Ocean Construction's participated in the Toy Buffet event in collaboration with Food from the Heart (FFTH) Singapore. This initiative is a shining example of corporate social responsibility and community engagement. The Toy Buffet event, which provides underprivileged children with choices of toys, fun games, and yummy treats, was wonderful way for our POC staff to bring joy and happiness to those who may not have many opportunities for such experiences. It is not just a carnival; it's an opportunity to show these children that they are special and deserving of love and hope. Through this ESG effort our POC staff truly made an amazing difference in the lives of underprivileged children and showcases the very spirit and sincere care that our Penta-Ocean gives the communities in which we work. Total 198 toys donated by Penta-Ocean Construction and POC staff, is a generous and meaningful contribution. Succulent Terrarium Workshop on 3 Oct 2023 Penta-Ocean’s O.C.E.A.N. Committee arranged the ‘Succulent Terrarium Workshop’ at our Harbourfront Office. Under ESG (Environmental) - Our primary aim was to organise an environmentally focused team-bonding event. By creating terrariums, we not only learned about sustainable gardening practices but also fostered a stronger sense of unity among our staff. As part of our commitment to employee mental health & well-being, we aimed to promote our new staff platform ‘IBU Safe Harbour’ through this workshop. This kind of activity is relaxing and you get in touch with nature!
