A high-power relay for printed circuit boards opens the door to faster, more compact electric vehicle chargers Omron Electronic Components Europe has introduced a new high-power PCB relay intended for AC chargers in Mode 3 AC electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. The G9KC relay provides the lowest contact resistance on the market and generates significantly less thermal rise in the charging terminal when in operation compared to other equivalent devices. This opens up new opportunities for EV charger designers and manufacturers to create systems that can charge faster and more efficiently, while also increasing reliability and expected lifespan. https://lnkd.in/gvtv9AFk

【OMRON‘s "Digital Transformation in production sites" to prevent global warming】 Global warming causes increasing temperatures, rising sea levels, and climate change, etc., altering our daily lives. What can we do to realize a zero CO2 emission “zero carbon society?” “The Matsusaka Factory of OMRON Healthcare,” which aims to achieve carbon neutral zero CO2 emissions by 2050, has implemented various initiatives to improve energy efficiency. - Boosting productivity while lowering energy consumption - Visualizing how much energy was being consumed, where, and when Based on these two concepts, we developed an energy visualization system using OMRON's unique factory data utilization service, i-BELT, which is designed to achieve digital transformation in production sites. Specifically, 1) The production and use of clean energy generated through solar panels and the like 2) Improve efficiency of production lines and energy use 3) Develop an energy visualization system We are working on the above and aiming for zero CO2 emissions. OMRON will share all of these initiatives openly as we contribute to the realization of a carbon neutrality. https://lnkd.in/gjuJC8cJ

How Global Partnerships for Energy Productivity Can Drive a Net-Zero World Tech innovator OMRON has long believed in the power of co-creation to drive a better future. Now it is taking the vision to a new level as part of a global coalition for energy efficiency and carbon neutrality At a factory in western Japan, technology pioneer OMRON is deploying advanced data analytics to drive new models of energy productivity--the ratio of economic output to energy consumption--that hold surprising answers in the mission to achieve a net-zero world. Reducing a factory's energy use while driving business growth might seem to be opposing business objectives. In fact, research shows that energy efficiency can deliver more than 40% of the reduction in energy-related emissions by 2040, even as it improves the bottom line through cost savings--a virtuous circle of enterprise value and green transformation. To achieve both carbon neutrality and business growth, OMRON has committed to doubling its energy productivity, declaring a goal of 200% of sales per Gigawatt Hour (Gwh) by 2040, compared to 2016 levels. At OMRON's Matsusaka healthcare plant, a multidisciplinary team from the company's industrial automation and healthcare divisions came together to unlock a next-generation energy productivity solution through data-driven automation that visualizes production volume, quality, and energy consumption and ascertains the potential for energy reduction. Through collaborative deployment of its i-BELT data management platform--an advanced Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled solution that streamlines the integrated management of diverse data-- the partnership achieved energy productivity breakthroughs that can now be spread beyond the OMRON family. https://lnkd.in/gbM2ZMDq
