NEC Corporation has hosted the NEC Karuizawa 72 golf tournament, part of the Japan Ladies Professional Golfers' Association (JLPGA) Tour, for over 30 years. Once again, I was very much inspired by the passionate competition among the athletes participating in this year’s event.   Congratulations to Yui Kawamoto, for your excellent performance and well-deserved championship!!   Technologies from the NEC Group played an important behind the scenes role for this event. Face recognition technology was used for entrance and payment, and private 5G technology was used for streaming and operations. In 1990, as a commemorative project for the 90th anniversary of the company’s founding, the NEC Super Tower headquarters building, with 43 floors above ground and 4 floors below ground, was completed in Mita, Tokyo, Japan, where NEC was founded. 🚀 The NEC Super Tower was completed as an intelligent building that made full use of cutting-edge technology at the time. The offices have been refurbished as part of corporate transformation initiatives and are continuously being brought up to date with the changing times. The building showcases futuristic offices featuring DX implementations under NEC’s “client zero” concept, wherein NEC is the first to introduce and verify its own technologies. Starting April 2024, using facial recognition, employees can enter and exit offices, pay at shops, unlock lockers, start their PCs, carry out various procedures, and use printing and other services, even without an employee ID card.   #NEC #NECglobal #NECs125th #Celebrating125yearsofNEC #NECSuperTower #DX

Let us introduce NEC's office in Makati, Philippines! 🏢 NEC Philippines (NECPH) was incorporated on January 18, 1996, though prior to this, NEC was already present in the Philippines through its Manila Representative Office since the 1960s. In 2017, NECPH relocated to 111 Paseo de Roxas Building in Paseo de Roxas, Makati City. Having only 70 employees, this tight-knit family often shares updates on work and life in general over snacks during their break time. The reception area is also the usual spot for quick catch-ups and a bit of rest before heading on to the next meeting. 💻☕ The popular Ayala Museum and Greenbelt Chapel are visible from the office, and the NECPH team will never be lacking in coffee and lunch options as the area is known for its plethora of dining choices! NEC Corporation has received an order to build a communications system and a Facility Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition System (Facility SCADA System) for the Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) North-South Line Extension Project Phase 2 from Larsen & Toubro Limited, a major India-based construction company and a specialized subcontractor of the main contractor Sojitz Corporation, a leading Japan-based trading company. This project is being supported by the Japanese government through a development assistance loan from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
