"Women Who Inspire" is our tribute to all Marelli Women and their inspiring journeys. Here's the story of Meenakshi, Safety Officer in India. Meenakshi started her journey in Marelli as an hourly employee in the production department and then moved onto maintenance, taking care of Spare Parts Management. She then developed an interest in employee safety and health and thus decided to move to the Environment, Health and Safety department, where she has been working for the last five and a half years. In 2020, she underwent minor surgery and was diagnosed with cancer: the news was devastating for her and her family. However, after undergoing specific treatment, she successfully came out of it. What's the life lesson she has drawn from it? "Be strong and helpful to your fellow colleagues", she says. In fact, during her struggles, her colleagues and manager played a very positive role in her life, encouraging her to be strong and have the confidence to fight. Marelli has developed a vast range of smart actuators to meet the current and future needs of vehicle evolution. The cars of the future will include over 100 actuators, each with specific functions, as Giuseppe Medico explains. Actuators are integrated in the vehicle’s electronic network thanks to an incorporated electronic controller managing communication and motion control. Marelli’s devices feature a flexible, modular and scalable mechatronic design tailored to the complex electronic and mechanical environments of the vehicle. The cooperation between Marelli and Cinemo will enable seamless smartphone projection to #Marelli’s infotainment system, and enrich the capabilities of the platform based on Android Automotive OS (AAOS).

In late June, the Huazhong Marelli establishment celebrated a significant milestone: its 10th anniversary! Created as a joint venture between Hubei Huazhong Photoelectric Science and Technology and the Marelli automotive lighting business, since 2014 the plant has produced more than 20 million automotive lighting products, ranging from halogen and xenon lamps to LED lights and intelligent interactive lighting systems, serving many different key automotive customers. Therefore, it has become a primary production and R&D hub for Marelli in China. More than 200 employees gathered at the Phase II plant in Xiaogan (China) to celebrate this special occasion. The event was graced by distinguished guests, including officials from Xiaogan municipal government and the High-tech Zone Management Committee. Their presence underscored the strong support from various government levels for Huazhong Marelli's development. The management team of Huazhong Changjiang Photoelectric Science and Technology and Marelli also participated in this ceremony.  Congratulations for this important achievement!  #Marelli

During NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration's 2024 NEPP Electronics Technology Workshop in Greebelt (USA), our Marelli Purchasing Head of Supplier Quality Electrical Commodity, Luisa Scarcione, had the opportunity to present our Commodity Quality Checklist (CQCL) in front of about 600 members across several industries. Our Checklist integrates lessons learned, benchmarks and engineering insights into a practical, structured checklist guiding our work with suppliers.  The use of the Marelli CQCL for process management simplifies the quality control process, addressing new technologies efficiently and setting a new standard in automotive component quality assurance. #Marelli

"Women who inspire" is one of Marelli's recent projects, a way to give value to the professional lives of all "Marelli Women". Here's the story of Maria Batista Mourato, Machine Operator in Brazil. Maria has been working at Marelli for over 15 years in different departments. She is currently part of the Production team in the Collectors area. Like many colleagues of hers, she is not just a Marelli employee but a mother of 3 daughters and a grandmother of 3 grandchildren.  Her greatest challenge? People's reservations about her being a woman with a handicap, which has been the cause of difficult situations and prejudices she has had to face. When she joined Marelli, she felt warmly welcomed, confident, capable and ready to tackle challenges. She explains how everyone treats her equally to the rest of the colleagues and how she feels more secure as a professional and a woman, demonstrating that she can now overcome any barrier both in her professional and personal life.  Maria hopes that Marelli Women can change the lives of women the same way it changed her perspective on women's inclusion within a company.
