Cara Partners, a member of the Schwabe Group has announced a €130m modernisation and expansion of its Little Island Facility in #Cork. This multi-million-euro investment is expected to create 60 new highly skilled roles over the next four years. Headquartered in Karlsruhe, Germany, the Schwabe Group – a global leader in natural health solutions such as plant-based medicines - established Cara Partners in Little Island Cork in 1978. “This investment in Cara Partners will secure the future of the site for the next decades and will provide great job opportunities for the people of Cork and nationally'' - Stephen Kenny, Cara Partners General Manager. Canadian-headquartered eSentire, a leading global cybersecurity solutions company, is an example of the ‘land and expand’ principle in action for multinationals that set up in Ireland. Since its arrival in #Ireland in 2015, eSentire’s Cork City operation has demonstrated significant value and expanded its role. The company initially established a Security Operations Centre (SOC), employing a team of highly-trained cybersecurity analysts. SiriusXM, a leading audio entertainment company in the United States, announced today the opening of a new state-of-the-art technology facility in #Dublin, Ireland.  The Dublin-based team will play a critical role in SiriusXM’s ongoing #digital transformation, serving as a center of excellence for Product and Technology. SiriusXM’s Dublin facility is planning to recruit positions in the following areas: Software Development, Automotive Technology and Engineering, AdTech, Data Science and Analytics. Congratulations to Ashland, which last week celebrated the second expansion of Viatel™ bioresorbable polymers manufacturing and the R&D lab at its #Mullingar facility. This enhancement, completed as scheduled, significantly expands Ashland’s footprint, capabilities and headcount of their Irish facility focused on delivery of innovative bioresorbable polymer chemistry to meet increasing market demand. IDA Ireland, in collaboration with Westmeath County Council, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (#MoU) in the council chambers to jointly advance the planning permit for an advanced technology building (ATB) at Mullingar Business & Technology Park, Ardmore. This will commence the process for the procurement of a suitable multi-disciplinary design team to develop the proposed planning application for the advanced building solution. "This application has the potential to support investments from #FDI but also indigenous industry across a number of sectors. This partnership between IDA Ireland, an agency of my department, and Westmeath County Council will enable the continued supply of strategic property solutions to attract investment to the region.” - Peter Burke, Minister for Enterprise, Trade & Employment. US-based governance software business Diligent arrived in Ireland in November 2020, surpassing its goal of 200 hires within a year. By late 2021, it was constructing a 35,000-sq ft sustainable #Galway facility, which quickly became its global customer support hub. “West Ireland has an incredible business community. Rather than having a fear of new companies, we found a strong willingness to support Diligent’s success.
