Alloyed and Aubert & Duval launch ABD®-1000AM nickel-based superalloy today at RAPID TCT! ABD®-1000AM has been designed specifically for additive manufacturing using Alloyed’s computational Alloys-by-Design® platform and offers a unique combination of properties for complex components for the aerospace, power generation, defence, and automotive industries: 🔥high strength at high temperature up to 1000°C / 1830°F ⌛️creep life of cast 247LC 🚀excellent oxidation resistance (alumina former) 💥crack-free printing and heat treatment Michael Holmes, CEO of Alloyed, comments: “Extending our portfolio of alloys through the introduction of ABD®-1000AM is a really exciting next step for Alloyed, greatly expanding our capability to deliver AM parts that can operate in some of the most extreme environments, and we’re thrilled to be doing it with Aubert & Duval as our trusted partner. The alloy itself is set to bring great developments to the world of metal AM, unlocking applications that were previously deemed unfeasible due to the limited materials suited for the process, so we’re excited to start manufacturing parts and developing applications with our customers.” Reach out to find out more: Dominic Peachey Will Dick-Cleland Adeline Riou #additivemanufacturing #3dprinting #decarbonation #superalloy #alloys #metallurgy #innovation #rapidtct24

at the Watches and Wonders 2024 event in geneva, ECAL University of Art and Design Lausanne has paired up with Alloyed to present a series of 3D-printed watch straps designed by the students of the master of advanced studies in design for luxury and craftsmanship program. the watch straps have been developed using 3D modeling software, and five of these concepts have been 3D-printed from a fine powder of titanium - an alloy composed of titanium, aluminum, and vanadium - that was melted at around 1,600 degrees celsius using a laser beam. these watch straps can be seen in person by visitors to the watches and wonders 2024 event in geneva between april 13th and 15th, 2024. read more here: https://buff.ly/49vhtXN
