You may already know that Air Liquide is the Official Supporter in hydrogen of Paris 2024 - Comité d'organisation des Jeux Olympiques et Paralympiques de 2024 to contribute to the ambition of reducing the event’s carbon emissions. The Group will supply #hydrogen of #renewable origin to power some of the vehicles of Paris 2024’s official fleet. But in concrete terms, how is the hydrogen that will power these vehicles conditioned and transported to Paris? As the Olympics and Paralympics Games of Paris 2024 - Comité d'organisation des Jeux Olympiques et Paralympiques de 2024, Air Liquide is preparing to supply #hydrogen from #renewable sources for this major event. In addition to powering the hundreds of vehicles in the official fleet, hydrogen will also be used to power five electro-hydrogen generators at the Versailles and Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines #competition sites. These generators will be used to boost the sites' electrical capacity, to ensure smooth operation of the mobile network during the equestrian, modern pentathlon and golf events. 👉 https://lnkd.in/eHEDey-D

Air Liquide's innovative large scale CO2 #liquefaction technology, Cryocap LQ, has been selected by Stockholm Exergi, Stockholm’s energy company, to contribute to its Bio-Energy #CarbonCapture & #Storage (BECCS) project. The Cryocap LQ CO2 liquefaction unit supplied by Air Liquide will be one of the largest in the world with a capacity of 3,500 tonnes per day. The CO2 liquefaction solution allows to transport CO2 over long distances to carbon sinks for permanent storage, contributing to the viability of CCS projects and emergence of a #lowcarbon industry. This new technology is an important additional brick in Air Liquide’s portfolio of proprietary technologies that paves the way to developing large-scale Carbon Capture & Storage (#CCS) value chains. 👉 https://lnkd.in/dbuBVyFd

A few days ago, Air Liquide announced plans to invest up to 850 million US dollars to build, own and operate four Large Modular Air separation units as well as related infrastructure in the framework of a long-term binding agreement with ExxonMobil for its planned #lowcarbon #hydrogen project in Baytown, Texas. Air Liquide inaugurates its new Air Separation Unit dedicated to #Healthcare and Industrial Merchant activities in Kosi, in the State of Uttar Pradesh in India! Air Liquide’s site in Kosi, where the unit is located, is now the largest liquid gases plant in the State of Uttar Pradesh. Per day, it has a #production capacity of: 🟡 more than 300 tonnes of liquid #oxygen & medical oxygen, 🟡 approximately 45 tonnes of liquid #nitrogen, 🟡 12 tonnes of liquid #argon. The medical grade oxygen manufactured in this plant will be supplied to hospitals. 🏥 In line with Air Liquide’s Sustainability Objectives, which include reaching carbon neutrality by 2050, this plant has been designed to contribute to a successful #energytransition in India. The new unit is planned to fully operate on renewable energy by 2030. Congratulations to the E&C teams.
