#JISInspire: Set on becoming a breast prosthesis surgeon, eighteen-year-old Derick Bernard's devotion to his career of choice has taken the form of organising charitable initiatives to support breast cancer survivors, describing his efforts as his way of giving back. Following research on the disease, he learned of the trauma survivors experience and raised over $100,000 of much needed support over them. The sixth form student at Hillel Academy in St. Andrew is now an ambassador for breast cancer survivors and wants other young men to join the cause to support and raise funds for women who are fighting the disease. To continue to join Bernard on his inspirational journey, visit https://lnkd.in/ebnZkVxG in honour of #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth.

#JISThrowback: It's an all-pink affair. During last year's observance of #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth, the JIS staff showed their support for survivors and victims of the illness alike by ditching their traditional attire in favour of everything and anything pink. Stand by more posts on #breastcancerawareness as we continue to #standuptocancer. #breastcancer #cancer #cancerawareness #cancerawarenessmonth
