I've tried every keyboard and mouse button and I can't pick up the first key.  I have no idea how to progress since that's the only place I can go so far.

Hey! When you go through the key you automatically get it(spider room). The door to the right of the sauna opens and inside theres the green key(also disappears when you go through it or just touch it). When you have that too and go back to the swiming pool the last door is the green to try, in front of the sauna thats the exit :)

So basically the key should disappear with a sound effect indicating that you have it on you. (There is no options to take it out, or inventory system)

Thanks for the help.  I was trying to go around the pool to get the key, but with the limited lighting, I couldn't tell it was on the other side of the wall.  I did manage to get it a couple times but only once could I grab it and leave the room without the thing getting me. I tried maybe a dozen times to beat this, but the flashing lights just got to be too much for me.  I also ran into a bug where restarting the game after dying to the meat wall kept all the lights out in the hallway and the locker room.  Quitting and restarting worked fine though.  

It's a good effort, and for a first game pretty impressive, but I just don't have the eyeball stamina to see it through to the end.
