Thanks for the interest on 2.0

I was going to do 2.0 but it was renamed to 1.3 when I launched it, because it was too small to call it 2.0

I still have ideas that I want to add (and I have some that I haven’t push).

Sadly, I can’t justify working on dice tribes at the moment.

The game is currently in prototype phase. Once the core idea for the game is concrete and fixed, a tutorial will be added :)

Thanks for your kind words. I’m currently planning out a small roadmap for it, and already have a post-jam build (link in description). The new build is more challenging and less grindy towards the end and the challenges appear way earlier; IMO more fun to play as well.

I’m definitely looking for ideas and inspiration so if you have any, feel free to ping me on discord.

Yeah the balance is a bit off (too easy) because I didn’t want anyone to feel bad. I am trying to balance the game right now and might expand upon it :D

The new balance spike the difficulty much earlier than turn 20 or so.

Interesting golf game.

Couldn’t use the power shot as ctrl click is right click for me and I am too lazy to turn it off. Still managed to get 17/18 without it.

Not sure if the last one (bottomleft) is reachable without power shot.

I think more explanation would be good. You should also show what the starting state of the board so the player can know how to solve the puzzle; if not the game is just a blind placement of units and praying for the best.

Lastly, because this is a web build, ideally don’t use scroll as a input(similar with using ESC).

I’m sorry that I couldn’t play the game for more than a few minutes, the camera is too nauseating for me.

Like most top down shooter, more weapon types usually makes the game more interesting.

Ahh good old pachinko. I wish there are more time to do more things. Perhaps add some ways to buy more goblins and give us less at the start.

Interesting twist on this puzzle genre.

Some puzzles are really interesting and I had to figure out how each mechanics work. I think there are a lot of room for expansion for this mechanic.

I don’t think this was intended, but it gave me a “Baba is You” moment.

The game reminds me of Tooth and Nail.

The game is a quite simple. I think more actions would make the game more enjoyable.

You aren’t far from where I wanted the game to end. At turn 50, the bad events will come in faster and eventually kill you. You could in theory go on forever if you are lucky, and manage to get more doctors, but that is in theory.

Statistically, the game should end before that. :D

Took me a while to understand how to convert other kingdom. That part should be explain more (I think).

I had to restart a few times to find a start that looks okay. I think it might be better if the number of starting area is equal for each kingdom.

Took me a while but I managed to beat it after multiple tries.

Love how the game become a zone control as I slowly trap some of the pieces. Love to see if and how the mechanics is expanded.

Really interested in a mac version. Have you test if this works with Wine on Mac ?

Yeah I found that bug a few days after and I have fixed it in the extended version. I would keep it in here for now.

I have decided to continue to expand the game pass the submission date, and have decided to use the original link that I created at https://zwodahs.itch.io/abyss for this, since many people have already have that link.

I started on Saturday (1pm, GMT 8) and submitted on Friday (3:30pm, GMT 8)

Will not be adding more features to the RL version, not wanting to break anything. Will fix bug in the RL version only if it is game breaking.

Do play the other version if they are not rating the challenge :D as I have choose to reduce scope to make a complete game.

The game is mobile friendly, and should be playable on all browser. Do let me know if there are any issues.

High score now is cumulative, but when you die, you lose everything. This makes the risk reward even higher now !

Hi all. Today marks the 4th day of the 7DRL for me.

For the most part, the core game loop can be considered as completed and you can play the game here https://zwodahs.itch.io/abyss.

I haven’t submitted the game yet as I have more ideas to add to the game for the remaining time.

Would love to get some feedback on

  1. How hard is the game for you ? 1 - 5 (5 being too hard)
  2. Which danger is the most challenging for you
  3. What feature do you think will be interesting to add ?

I feel that this game may not be considered as roguelike to some, and I hope that is okay =).
