Really cool concept! It was frustrating but in a good way! i kept wanting to beat my time

The layout of the map overall, number of rooms you get, and their placement is procedural, but each individual room has the same layout at the moment because i Didnt have time to add variety to those unfortunately :( I wanted to make the aiming just at the point where it was difficult, so that unlocking bullet speed upgrade was worth it
Thanks for trying my game!
A fun game that reminded me of something like agar io! a fun concept!
I like how the different coloured balls each have different values, and you can eventually one shot the weaker guys!
Maybe enemies could drop one of their balls when they die or something? After a point it felt like it was taking more shots to kill enemies than i could pick up, so the best tactic was to just run away
good luck and well done! Pls give my game a try too if you have time! :)
Positive:
- I thought this was a really unique game!
- I really liked how the player got larger as their health got higher, makes it more difficult the better you do, self-balancing, a great idea!
- The graphics are simple but do a good job, make me feel like im playing a maths game in school hahah
Negative:
- Not sure if the player hitbox gets bigger or not, sometimes the balls wouldnt hit me when i was large size unless they went close to the centre of player.
- You can also move the player outside of the playable area and get lost/wait out the clock to farm points, so my highscore was in the 1000 range lmao
Suggestions:
- The red and green balls could maybe have a darker/lighter colour depending on their value? so you can easily tell which is worst and which is best at a glance
- Mouse control option would be cool, feel like this is the sort of game that could benefit from that to avoid the balls with more prescision, although not having a limited speed would be difficult to balance i guess
Well done and Good luck!
Pls give my game a try too if you have time!
This was a fun and interesting game! I enjoyed the different movement mechanics and how I actually felt like i was learning how to play better over time, and i finally won the cookie!
Only improvement i would suggest is probably to either put teleport button on the mouse, or allow (down?)grade choices to be selected with the keyboard, as it is a little fiddly taking your hand off the L key to select an upgrade with the mouse
good luck and well done!
This is one of my favourites so far! I love rhythm games and this one felt really satisfying with really good music that fit a rhythm game perfectly!
It also is a great addition to have the red enemies which take two hits, and the rocks too, as then the game engages you for longer and you still have to pay attention.
My only issues are that I couldn't really tell how close an enemy had to be to hit them, maybe a line to show that, like the line on the bottom of the fretboard on guitar hero, would be a nice addition (or maybe i had to hit them when they lined up with the arrows? idk),
and because your eyes are focused on the enemies, you often dont notice when you lose health, maybe something like the screen flashing red or shaking could add more indication to that.
Well done with this game and good luck!!
Yeahh, I was gonna make them point the right way but i didnt have enough time before the three hours was up :( I'd like to add more varied room layouts and more varied enemies too but didnt have enough time. I should make the fireballs larger when you get a damage upgrade, thats a good idea!
You can fire three bullets in one, you just need to get the upgrade for it
This is a great puzzle game! It reminded me of something i used to play on miniclip as a kid, i cant remember the name
The idea is really fun, where you lay down a safe path behind you, it makes you think about your next move and trying to find the optimal path!
As @JacobSchoen said, there is a bug cutting off the "X coins needed" text when not in fullscreen mode webgl, but that should be pretty easy to fix
Well done and good luck!
I love the visuals of this game, it looks really high quality! I thought i was playing GTAV for a second
I had a couple issues with the gameplay, the turning circle is a little too big for the size of the roads in my opinion, and the cat is too fast so i couldnt get more than one or two coins :( The cat even pushed me out of the map once lmao
I feel like those are all pretty simple things to change though, and this has really good potential to be something fun!
I love this game! A really simple premise for a puzzle game which makes really good use of the theme! The music fits really well with the vibe of the game too!
Sometimes it felt like i only needed a pixel more "Movement Energy" to get where i needed to go, maybe a future improvement could be to hold a button to see some sort of faint indicators of how far you can move in each direction with your current energy? other than that i have nothing bad to say about this game at all, great work! :)
I really liked this game and found the 2d and 3d worked well together, this is the kidna game i could play for a long time :D the gameplay loop of collection ghost dust and buying resources is pretty good
My only suggestions are maybe to have the gun shoot towards the mouse pointer, sometimes it is hard to aim your character pointing in the right direction, and maybe have some indicator to where the nearest vending machine and ghosts are
I really liked how you implemented the shotgun as a speed booster, that is a cool concept! Here's my game if you want to play it, it is not in browser though sorry
