wow, thank you for this comprehensive review! I’m glad you enjoyed it.
To address a few of your comments:
I’m not sure what I was thinking with pause screen lol. Not gonna lie I forgot that you are supposed to PAUSE THE GAME when the game pauses haha! It was more a last minute exit menu.. will have to fix that!
When I found the robots got stuck on each other during development, that was such a good ‘it’s not a bug, it’s a feature’ moment! It is somewhat intentional as I knew about it but it was one of those things you don’t think of until it happens :p
I have no idea why no cheese or corruptions spawn after pausing. One of my friends had that issue when I showed them - another thing I’ve gotta fix!
I didn’t know about the cheese going off screen - it makes sense grabberbots get stuck tryna go for them! There is a collision box to contain the player, but I guess I forgot to make the cheese collide with it.
there is no end to the game.. not yet at least! :)
Thanks for your review!
Very cool game! Had the same issue as others with Day 2 no clicking on the computer.. After seeing other comments I went back to it and finished the game! The main note is the gorgeous art - I think it is funny how you modified a Slenderman model for the main character! The ending gave me major "You are a snail.. and I am a GOD" vibes! So cool how the AI teaches itself with the computer..!
Leave it to an interesting ending to make a great impression.. Completely changed my opinion on the game. A very good strategy for game jams!
Please check out my game too :)

Yes, search for a checkbox in sprite art import settings, it's often a frustrating checkbox away :P Most likely a compression setting or some kind of filtering setting.. The issue lies in the engine trying to smooth out your sprites, which might be good for high-resolution, but definitely not what you want for pixel art!
Neat concept! and cute pixel art. Agh, game-breaking bug! Sorry to see that, as the others got stuck on an impossible level. I think that it would be cool if you had more choice over instructions to give the robot. This would increase the depth of the puzzles, as you would need to choose your pieces wisely! I also found that I can move with arrow keys, but the interaction prompt is 'E', which confused me at first. I think some music would be good too, feel free to use an asset pack. I often feel too confident to use pre-made assets but music for me personally is something that seems to be better made by someone else :P
Please go check out my game too :)
Amazing game, especially to be made in 3 days!! I like the retro-inspired UI, but I think that mouse countrols for the programming part would be helpful. I think that the floating cube enemy could be slightly more 'dangerous' looking, I tried to collect it a couple of times lol (maybe I missed a tutorial prompt, but still.)
Cool game!
Wow, cool idea! This is the best interpretation of "Collaborate with AI" that I have seen so far. Impressive that you had time for a dialogue system! I think you could add more post-processing though, and also an arrow that shows where Steve is headed - just to help you navigate and to give a bit of extra polish :)
Please check out my game too!
Yeah - the price of workers grows too quickly. I believe it was cost = previous cost ^ 1.5. It gets a bit ridiculous after a while lol. YOu can actually sweep the resources into the delivery bot to speed up the process - I never mentioned this in the tutorial ;)
I think I am going to continue this game, and add more features. I'll post any updates to the game on my website zevdev.net!
