Thanks for playing. Haha, yeah, that's what happens when you game balance the last few minutes before the game jam is over. I'm hoping my post-jam edition of the game will be better balanced after I put in more content and polish.

Thanks for playing my game and your kind words. I hope that I keep my motivation high and I am able to get all the things I want into the post-jam game.

Good job finishing your game.

I liked the art design and the controls felt good. For some reason on my fist playthrough, everyone kept jumping on my head and stayed there. Haha.

Good job finishing your game.

The game had a good feel when you shoot the blobs. I enjoyed the look of the game.

Great job finishing your game.

The game was tough, but I enjoyed it. It took some time to figure out what's going on.

I did have a problem with the mouse sensitivity.

Thanks for playing. Yeah, I wasn't sure if I should give the game a title that was obviously or not, but I thought I'd lean into the newspaper theme more.

Thanks for playing my silly game. I appreciate the feedback.

Haha. Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing. I appreciate the post and kind words.

Good job finishing your game.

I liked the art and general mood of the game. It was tough lining up my shots, but that's on me.

It awesome to read about your real life inspirations.

Good job finishing your first Godot game.

I liked your pixel art. Everyone is so happy with their lemonade! Haha. The colour scheme is really appealing too.

Awesome! I'm glad to hear you beat the game. Was worried about the game balance.

Thanks for trying out the game.

Thanks for trying out the game. I'm hoping to build the game up with more and interesting upgrades.

Haha! Glad you liked it. Thanks for trying out my game.

Thanks for playing. Yep, I've already started on adding in cut features. First focus are on the dinosaurs. I'll be working on it for a few months. You can check it out here:

Read All About It: Clever Girl Edition

Awesome. Thanks for playing.

Thanks for playing. I got really lucky when I found the song. It really works well.

Good to hear you beat the game. I left game balance far too late in development so I was afraid people would either find it too easy or two hard. 3-4 attempts is great. Thanks for playing.

Great job finishing your game. I hope you had a positive experience developing it.

Good luck with your game dev journey!

Good job submitting your game. It was a simple game, but I liked the look of it. I hope it was a good learning experience!

Good luck on your game dev journey!

(1 edit)

Good job finishing what you could. It definitely looks like the start of something. Whether you continue with it or not, hopefully it was a good learning experience and you grew from it. Hopefully for GameDev.tv Game Jam 2025 you can put together a more completed project.

Good luck on your game dev journey!

Thanks for playing. Yeah, for fun and for the learning experience, I've already started making a post-jam version.

Very good job finishing the game.

This is a very fun game. I really enjoyed it. It was challenging and when I figured out first what the arrows was about and then figuring out the answer, it was super satisfying. I also liked the concept of of the sliding map tiles. This game had many inventive ideas and gave it a very unique style.

I've been thinking about looking into Godot for fun, but not to learn it for a game jam. Haha. Good to know that Godot doesn't have a very high difficulty curve to learn. It'll likely take me more than ten days to learn...

Great job finishing the game. I liked the art, especially the animations of the bad guys falling to the ground. That last stage was tough. I think I broke the button on my mouse. Haha.

Haha, that's cool. Must mean I'm extra bad if I still kept hitting them even after you added that extra aid.

Good job finishing your game!

I had the same thoughts as others had about the game. The difficulty and controls were issues. But I really wanted to comment on what you wrote on your game page regarding your own thoughts on your game. I thought it was very insightful with what worked and what didn't. It's definitely something I need to work on for myself. Through what you wrote, I feel with enough iteration, you would do very well improving this game.

Good luck with your game dev journey!

Great job finishing your game. The art and the music were good. Hilarious to see a snake with legs. The game was tough. I kept jumping into butterflies when I could have just ran under them...

Great job finishing the game and to your first game jam submission. It's a fun game and I really enjoyed it. I thought it was very inventive to make every bullet cost money.

Thanks for trying out my game and the feedback.

Thank you for trying out my silly game.

Good job with finishing your game and for submitting to your first game jam. It was a fun game to play!

Great job in finishing the game!

The King is dead, Long live the King...

I liked that the story and how you wove it into the game. The gameplay was pretty solid as well. Was a fun game overall!

Great job on finishing your game and man your game looks like it is pretty full of good content. It is quite an involved game with a very good game loop. I played as much as I could, but I'm too used to playing with invert y-axis controls.

Great job on finishing your game.

Im'ma be honest, I totally did not expect tower defense! Haha. But it was good and I had fun beating back the AIs!

Great job finishing your game. No robots taking my job! I had fun playing the game. I lost the first attempt, but I had better bearings for the second attempt.

Thanks for trying out my game!

Thanks for playing and the kind words!

My suggestion would be to create a new itch.io project and put up the game as a post-jam edition. Keep what you have here as a reference for the future so you can see exactly what you submitted, what people's comments were and to see your progress.

Good job with finishing your game! I enjoyed the interactions with the other robots and AI. I liked the art!

Great job in finishing the game. I really like the inventive concept and the fun story. The music was also very good and fit the game. I would have liked more colour contrast between the second and third bun.

Go Ricky!
