This is great!

I like the concept, and I think it’s quite a novel idea. I enjoy matching the spells with the enemies, but it feels like the enemies are way too fast, making it difficult to notice the “immune” text and find the right spell in time. Despite this, the game has a potential and is fun to play.

I really like the idea of the stream, the limited movement options, and the puzzle-oriented gameplay. However, the addition of the red fish, which can move anywhere it wants, made the game very difficult for me. Otherwise, it is a nice game.

The graphics are stunning, and the spells are both fun and impactful. With a bit more progression, I can easily see myself playing this for hours.

The sprites are great, and I like the setup of looking for your brother. In combat, it sometimes felt like I wasn’t able to avoid damage. For example, the spikes seem to collide with the entire player character, so you can hit them with your head, which, due to the perspective, shouldn’t be the case. Otherwise, it is a nice entry and impressive first published game.

This game has a very strong sense of style and great art direction. It is on the difficult side, which is very fitting for the story of escaping from the clutches of very powerful mages.

This is a nice little game with a very cute art style. It is just missing a little bit of “juice”—like a small explosion when you correctly input the arrows. Additionally, there should be some punishment for pressing the wrong inputs; otherwise, the player can just defeat the enemies by button mashing.

This is a very ambitious project for a game jam, and it is well done. I loved the story elements, the exploration, and the atmosphere. Unfortunately, the combat didn’t quite work for me. The wizard’s voice was hard to understand and somewhat distorted, but I would say that it aided the overall atmosphere.

I really liked the intro and the setup for the creation of the magical wooden board of fast movement. The game looks great and plays well. I think there is a lot of potential in the idea. I felt that the trick selection was a little bit arbitrary, or at least I wasn’t able to figure out which combination would lead to which spell. Additionally, I would like to see the effect take place immediately after the board is filled and be able to predict what the outcome will be (e.g., 4 x green = heal spell, 4 x blue = missiles), and potentially discover some new cool combinations by mistake. The level design was great for the skateboarding part, but I felt I could sort of skip the casting and still comfortably reach the end. Overall, it was a lot of fun, and I would love to see it expanded and fully fleshed out.

The selected assets and music are great. The UI is very nice and polished. I really enjoyed the combat mechanics, and it was fun to try to memorize all the spells. However, because I was so focused on the casting indicator at the top of the screen, I wasn’t able to appreciate the animations and didn’t have enough time to check my health regularly, leading to some surprising wins and losses. The first level was quite difficult, but the following levels felt a little too easy as I had more powerful spells. Overall, I had fun, and it was a very enjoyable experience.

I really love the concept of mixing a puzzle game with bullet hell. The only complaint is that I find it hard to identify when it is okay to pick up the bullet and when it will hurt me. If you are aiming more for a puzzle game, I think it would be cool to have the time slow down when the player is aiming. Otherwise, great job!

Great platformer! There is one jump that I cannot do. I tried it like hundred times.

Nice platformer! I managed to collect 3/4 trophies, but I couldn’t get over one jump, where you cannot see where you are jumping in a light grey area. Otherwise, I had a great time.

I love the idea of downgrading, and the scale of the battles is quite epic. Only the aim I find to be a little bit too difficult. Maybe changing the crosshair’s initial position to the last direction of the movement would make it slightly easier.

I love the concept! I feel like it has a lot of potential.

Nice game! The collision needs a little bit of tweaking and I think a simple death animation and sound effect would go a long way.

Again!

It is a puzzle-platformer game in which even death moves you towards your goal.

The game was developed by me in Pico8 and it is appropriate for all ages.

Timezone GMT.

Thanks, how far did you get? :)

Thank you! Level 3 is quite hard, as end of the “lava” part. I think the rest of the game is even slightly easier.

Lovely game! Nice to see another pico-8 game in this jam.

I like the idea. I managed to get to level 3, but the mouse clicking felt too imprecise. (Little hack: you can stop the time by clicking outside the window, which might help in some tight spots)

Great concept! By the end, the colour scheme was too harsh for me.

Lovely spooky little game. I liked the art, and the atmosphere was great. The gameplay got a little bit boring as sometimes you have to wait for quite a while for the toy to go away. I would love some minigame of staying quiet while hiding or being able to cause a distraction to lure him away. Otherwise, great job!

I love the art-style and the twisted perspective of the map. I would love to see with everything working as originally intended.

Thank you. The key-mapping is the limitation of the fantasy console Pico-8, which I made it on.

I’d like feedback on: I started with game development like two weeks ago so any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you! You can press Z (circle if you are on mobile) to reset the level.

I like the minimalistic art style and how deceivingly easy it looks, but I cannot get past the second level.

Thank you! Good discovery, it wasn’t intended, but I kinda like it as a little “speedrunning” hack.
