Oh, and I’d like to localize strings into Russian, but so far it’s only possible through modding (and in it you can only create and delete strings, but not edit) or hacking resources. This is not very reliable due to updates that overwrite the original files.

Not sure I get the relevance of that a11y thing.

Sufficiently contrasting colors, captions of buttons and other interface elements for the visually impaired, the ability to control the interface only with the keyboard. Standard things. Especially when one of the hands is busy with a task, hehe.

I’m already a member of 100 servers out of 100. Also, I am strongly against discussions that should be indexed and available publicly in a closed platform with access restrictions like server participation limits and complete isolation from search engines.

When blocking an image by X hotkey, a popup dialog appears that requires using the mouse.

Please take care of a11y by adjusting the focus of dialog elements and buttons so that the selection switches adequately between adjacent elements by Tab, Shift Tab and cursor keys, and so that popup windows immediately set the focus to the right button.

If you have updated your build in the last few hours, I hasten to inform you that right now I do not have these bugs: items are used as they should be and the camera does not get stuck after the opponent uses the canister.

Aaaaand the game got stuck when the dealer see the left card at my tower and took gasoline from the box. The model of the canister disappeared and that’s it: the animation doesn’t play further, the camera froze on showing an empty cell.

Can’t use fire extinguisher and axe on any cards during the game. Clicking is registered with a characteristic sound, but no effect occurs. All items (except for the spyglass) end up being stored in containers forever.

Is it possible to add a switch or option in the settings to be able to listen to the original and recorded clip in different channels at the end of the round: the original in the left channel, and the recorded voice in the right channel?

What engine is the game based on? The engine is not listed in the itch.io info block. It doesn’t look like Unity, maybe Godot Engine?

The only thing you’ll see is a shot in the face from which you will never recover. It’s the ending. Pathetic, but fair and believable.

Closing the game because there’s essentially no point in continuing to keep it running is quite natural. Especially given the almost complete abandonment of the UI, pause menu and other stuff.

I just checked and death in the third round closes the game. Which makes sense.

…if you lose at any round you have to start over from the beginning…

But losing in the last round implies final death, since the defibrillator goes off, doesn’t it?

A small detail that could be added with a patch: if after inspecting the chamber with a magnifying glass to make sure that there is a blank in it, then do not shake your hands during the animation of a shot at yourself because it safe. Same if you know what current shot is dangerous and you shoot to the the dealer because there’s a certainty of damage.

I imported the game into Steam, set it to Proton GE compatibility and had no problems. However, launching through the itch launcher consistently crash.

Definitely worth considering an add-on or separate edition with multiplayer for playing one-on-one against a friend.

I love the animation of using the magnifying glass. It looks desperate but aggressive every time.

I tried to rebuild the project. Try again. If it doesn’t work, then I will use the bleeding edge version of the engine.

After filling the download bar, I see only a black screen.

Well, that’s pretty weird. I can try to build a project under the “official” version of Godot, but I can not guarantee compatibility with any linux distributions, even though I work under Arch.

…feel like it needs to be a little easier early on to get people addicted.

Due to strict time limits (free time after work), I did not manage to pay due attention to the balance and the prototype now issues tasks based on randomness from the set that was originally built in.

But, I think, the basic idea should be clear: I wanted to build the whole game on “second chances” and force the player to lose enough to win, but not too much for this to become a problem.

I actually think you should continue working on it - that’s how much I thought of the potential.

Well, if someone really likes the idea, then I will try to develop it much more than what I managed to do in the prototype. I have enough ideas to diversify the mechanics, terms of contracts and (even) the plot.

I work under Linux, so when exporting for MacOS, I get a .zip file. Should I just rename it to .dmg or do I need to unzip the archive and send its contents to channel?
