Thanks for the excellent feedback!

Hmm, I'm not sure then.  I noticed that the steering and acceleration can appear delayed since they are implemented via a physics controller, rather than a kinematic controller.

I'll be uploading a new build fairly soon.  If you'd still like to try it out, perhaps one of the downloadable versions will work better for you.

thanks for the recommendations! Im working on a new update that already has custom control mapping. Hoping to get it ready soon!

What browser are you using?  I'm using a chromium based browser and I don't see any noticeable input latency.

Yeah I plan to add some more features for Free play in the next update.  You're right, having no goal explosion in free play is a bit underwhelming

your goal was just way too powerful :D

There isn't a way to adjust the camera in game at the moment.  But I'm planning to add different camera modes in the next update

Thanks for showing  your interest in the game!  I don't plan on releasing the source code at the moment, but I'll try to release some updates soon!

No plans at the moment to release the source code, but I do intend to release some updates for this game since it's gotten so popular.  Stay tuned for those!

Cool ideas! duly noted!

I'm really glad you guys like it! Thanks for checking it out, and for the kind words :D

No plans at the moment. But I'll post here again if I do decide to add that feature. I understand that feeling of having custom bundings

I just uploaded a Linux build tonight! Please let me know if it works for you, as I don't have a system to test it on at the moment.

Cool game!  The dice blocks are a lot like the ? blocks in Mario Kart.  I think with some more iterations, you could design some more interesting random effects.  I found myself avoiding the blocks more because the superspeed was hard for me to control lol.

The art is awesome! I love the character and all of the color palettes fit together nicely.

Awesome job!

I agree! Definitely feels too repetitive right now, but I'd love to change up the levels if you land on them more than once.

Thanks for playing!

Very cool!  The idea is more abstract than some of the other games I've played.  I like the concept that each side of the dice is a different biome.

I can tell this is a fun game because I played it for a very long time xD

Seriously, the art, sounds and gameplay were all expertly crafted.  Although the dots and colors on the cube are random, they seem to give you a fair chance at defending or attacking whenever it's necessary.

Awesome work!

It's unfortunate that you were unable to upload your game, but your game art looks awesome and I'm sure whatever you make for the next jam will also be awesome!

thanks for playing!

And yes! My plan was to add more challenges to a level of you land on it multiple times: multiple "phases" if you will. But I ran out of time to add that haha.

Saving your jumps from previous levels was also meant to lead up to a boss fight at the end, where you would need to use your jumps in a special way to beat the game. But that was descoped as well.

But I feel pretty happy with the overall response to this game, so I'd love to add those features some day!

Yup! Every time the player finishes moving, the dice is rolled to determine the number of spaces that the enemies are allowed to move.  But I missed the part where it says that you are allowed to move if the horse gets too close.  Sorry for the misunderstanding!

Thanks for playing, and for the feedback!

I used Godot 3.4 for this project, but I may not be loading objects correctly into the scenes in a timely manner.  I'm guessing that it's not only Firefox where the game stutters.

I had a feeling people would get stuck playing the same level multiple times. If I ever iterate on this game in the future, I think I'd like to add more obstacles in levels when you re-play them.  That might keep the gameplay fresh.

thanks for playing!

First off, I think the art is delightful!  Great work on presentation.  It feels like a nice arcade-style puzzle game.

The gameplay, while interesting, is hard to follow.  I understand that I am playing as a dice, but allowing the enemies to move a random number of spaces doesn't feel very fair.  It becomes more of a game of chance rather than a puzzle game.  Perhaps there was a pattern to it, but I didn't catch it.

All-in-all, great work! I can tell a lot of solid effort went into this!

Making the gameplay about dice AND literally turning your character into a die made this a cool game.  The presentation is stellar. If you seriously made the majority of the art during this jam, I'm incredibly impressed :O

The gameplay is fun at first, but I think using a d6 as a golf ball is more irritating than it is fun.  Plus, when you land over a trap, you just have to hope you didn't roll the wrong number.  I feel like there could be a better way to mix the RNG portion of the gameplay with the skill.

But, as I said, the game looks awesome, and I didn't even catch any bugs. Great work!

It's a game that works, start to finish.  The idea is interesting.  I like the added mechanic where you can match the dice to the incoming dice of the same number.  It creates two-dimensional gameplay.

My criticism is I think this could use more incorporation of the theme.  You could replace the dice sprites with numbers and still get the same game.  There's no "Roll of the Dice", there's only "Dice".

Still, it's a fun infinite runner.  Great work!

Wow!

The idea for this game is so great! And very easy to understand.  I give you top marks in all categories because this was a lot of fun to play and incredibly interesting.

The fact that it takes place on a table for DnD is perfect. xD

Also, shoutouts to Sam.

I agree with the other commenters here. Once you take the time to learn the rules, you start to feel like a quantum boss :)

You clearly had an idea to incorporate quantum mechanics with the roll of a die, and I think it works really well!  Well done! With some more polish and instruction, this game could be a hit!

Fun logic puzzle game!

I think the most challenging part was learning what each of the buttons do.  The images on the buttons are fine, but are hard to decipher.

Great art and presentation!

I like this game quite a lot! It's rough around the edges, but with a lot more time I'm sure this could turn into a really fun platformer.

It seems like you interpreted the theme as a play on words, which works, but I think it falls really far from the concept of "Roll of the Dice"

The needle-centric platforming is cool!  Keep at it!

It's certainly a gatcha game :D I didn't want to stop playing!

The art/presentation is really great, and the menus are very clear and easy to follow.  The game seems to reward those who are good at predicting probabilities.

Awesome job!
