If you're on windows, you can use powertoys to remap buttons on your keyboard. I set jump to up arrow key and that helped me master the controls much better

I got stuck. That's a shame. I think I made it pretty far. I had the fountain of gold coins and wood on fire. Anyway, the game looks and feels amazing. I don't know if the art was made by an AI or not but it looks great too. I think I would have ragequit much earlier if the calm music wasn't playing in the background.
The idea for the game is really fun and the graphics are great but the movement is so painfully slow and the camera is too zoomed in that I couldn't really enjoy the game. For a game based on exploration, which means you might have to walk through the same path multiple times to check if you missed anything, and with how huge the rooms are the walking speed is very annoying. :(

The game is really fun. I only really have 2 suggestions. For around half of my playthrough I just didn't use the run button because I thought that would make go down faster. Maybe communicate that a bit better, or make food go down faster when you're running. The second is add some story. I normally don't ask this but the atmosphere this game has with the trapped room and the retro effects practically begs for a story.
Alright I was raging the entire time while playing it, let me uncloud my mind before I start trashtalking the game...
ok long enough. The game was actually really fun and creative. The level designs are really cool, but there are a few blind jumps which I don't like. I don't really like the implementation of the theme because the killing humans bit feels kinda forced. you can easily beat the game without killing anyone, but the game forces us to. I really like the splatoon-esque poison shooting mechanic tho.
Also when I first started playing I played with arrow keys and pressing up to jump, but apparently that hasn't been coded in because I couldn't perform wall jumps with up arrow so I was stuck on the first jump for a while until I switched to spacebar.
This is honestly the best game I've played in this jam so far. The concept is amazing and the gameplay is really fun. But I agree with @TheJohnyFeeD, the only way for the game to end for now is when the player gets bored, which happened at around the 17000 mark for me. Other than that this is amazing.
