Thank you so much! The breakable blocks are definitely my favorite level gimmick, allowed me to really emphasize the size mechanic. Didn't want the player to get three stars by completely ignoring the theme!

I agree with Hobbes_ comment; the camera was so zoomed in that I couldn't tell where I was or where the objects/enemies were. The ice physics also felt too loose, not giving me much control of my direction; I get it wanting to be somewhat slippery, but I think it was overdone. A nice concept with cool art, but unfortunately there are some coding issues that hold things back. Great job finishing for the jam, hope you can improve the game in the future!
This is a super fun premise with a solid execution! I do wish the game got harder as you got more band members, maybe with tougher enemies or more obstacles; gets pretty easy near the end. I like the dynamically evolving music, but the instruments don't quite gel well together at the end (maybe just a personal thing). I love the fish designs and gameplay, would love more from this concept! Great work!
Saw Scratch Cat on the thumbnail and had to come check it out as a fellow Scratch dev! It's a pretty basic platformer, I like the theme of shrunken obstacles and the Roomba boss. But, there's not a lot else going on, fairly short and uninteresting mechanically. Good job on making a game, though, I'd love to see an expanded version!
Although there were no instructions on how to play, I think I eventually figured things out and had an enjoyable experience! I liked the additions of the portals as time went on, really spiced things up. The graphics are simple and clean, but I wish there was audio to help fill the atmosphere. I think with some polish on the presentation/instructions, this could be a pretty great contender in the game jam!
I LOVE the art style here, super sketchy and unique! I like the idea of scaling with a beat-em-up, but the combat is super basic and repetitive. Jumping offers no real advantage, and big enemies can be impossible to hit if you shrink too low. There's a super cool concept in here (especially with the limiter on how big you can get), but the combat could use some touching up to truly stand out. The music is also a little basic, just being two chords looped over and over. Great start, though, and fantastic presentation!
This is so much fun! I really enjoyed it! Sadly, as you said, it has nothing to do with the prompt, haha. I really enjoyed messing around with the crane controls and the magical F button, but besides that, there's not much else to do. Super fun physics, though! I hope you don't get sued by Illumination :P
I really like the fox and wolf, their models are adorable! The concept of getting bigger as the fights go on is interesting, but the abilities are too limited and the wolf gets too overpowered by the end. Good base here, just needs a lot more expanding with the mechanics better wolf AI to really click.
I like the concept of the scales and playing as Lady Justice, but the execution was a bit messy. The music was significantly louder than all the voice acting, so I could barely hear the dialogue in the cutscenes. You can run past the combat in every level and get straight to the boss (who is super easy to cheese). The physics-based objects didn't feel necessary for the combat, and it was a 50/50 shot whether your hit actually pushed it.
The cover art is amazing, though, props to whoever did it! The rest of the art is solid as well, but ultimately not able to save the experience from the gameplay's flaws. Good job finishing a game for the jam, would love to see a refined version of this someday!
Is it bad that I recognized all the music/fonts from the Scratch library :P
A very basic idea with some very smooth controls! I do think the visuals are a bit all over the place and could've used a consistent aesthetic. In the first level, spheres can spawn on top of you, not giving you any time to dodge them and leading to an instant death. Also, I'm not quite sure what the point of the two scoring systems is on the first level, and also changing the use of the numbers in-between levels. There's enjoyment to be had here, but it lacks polish; I'm rooting for you, though! Team Scratch for life! (my entry was made in TurboWarp haha)
Got a score of 110! Excellent job for your first game, you have a good understanding of mechanics. Super fun gameplay loop, and I like how scaling was implemented. I do wish the down arrows disappeared after a few seconds, because after a while they clog up the screen and severely limit your movement options. The retro aesthetic/music is nice, but also basic and could've been polished a bit more. Incredibly good showing for your first game, though, congrats on finishing the game jam!
This is a super fun gameplay loop! Love the goop enemy different upgrades, had me playing for a while. I like the concept of being on a finger, but I don't think it was very well integrated into the gameplay; feels like you could switch out the background and not be able to tell the game has anything to do with scale. The intro animation was super cool, though! Great game overall!
I'm really sad to say that this game did not work on my computer, or my girlfriend's. The text in the pop-up bubbles was not displaying, so we had no idea what any of the food's abilities were. The screen also never resized properly, even in fullscreen, so there was no easy way to see all the UI elements at once.
I love the ideas here, the art and music are so good and create such a fun vibe! But, unfortunately, there's no way for me to play it, I'm so sorry.
I'm really glad you enjoyed it! The tight time limits route hunting was mainly inspired by my recent playthrough of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, which has a super demanding time trial mode with a similar structure. But, I'm also a lifelong Sonic fan, so of course some elements from that franchise snuck their way in as well :P
I like the idea of scaling up your ship, but the mechanics and design feel very unpolished. I can't tell if I'm moving unless there are enemies nearby because the background doesn't scroll with the player. It's super easy to get cornered by enemies and not be able to dodge their shots. The lack of sound effects or music make everything feel weightless there's no real atmosphere present.
Good job finishing a game for the jam! I'd love to see you give it another shot; I just wasn't able to click with this game, unfortuntately.
This is a super cute game! I love the premise, I love the art, I love all the customization. I do wish you had time to implement the puzzle mechanics different rooms, because this build of the game does feel rather empty and one-note. A solid idea which is sadly underdeveloped; would love to see more someday!
Also, I see that someone let their intrusive thoughts win at the very end of the game XD
Mmmm, a very delicious game! Makes me hungry for cheese; thankfully, I'm eating pizza soon :P
I like all the minigames, and they're all presented in a quirky style! I do wish some of them had more instructions (especially the music one) and it was more clear how the graders assisted you, but still fun regardless! Overall, a good time, short and sweet with lots of personality.
This seems like a cool game, but I sadly could not figure out the controls or mechanics. The description didn't offer enough information on how to control the ship, and I'm not entirely sure how to reach the targets. I would've greatly appreciated an in-game tutorial that demonstrates what you're supposed to do; but, perhaps I'm just not smart enough to understand things, haha. Glad other people are enjoying it, congrats on finishing the jam!
This is a really cute concept with well-executed mechanics! I liked the green/red boxes guiding you in your building process and challenging you to scale accordingly. I do wish there was more content, because it feels like things end right when they've gotten interesting; perhaps an endless mode of some sort with a goal of building as high as possible could've increased replayability. Overall, though, super fun time!
A really fun premise with an... oddly horrifying execution? The ambiance is quite unsettling, haha (in a good way). I like the mechanics of jumping around and playing keys, but I wish we were able to play more than scales (despite the fabulous play on words). Could've been fun to play a few basic songs; perhaps they are in the game and I just didn't reach them. Excellent work; I have no real notes other than I want more!
