Thank you so so so much for playing and including us in your stream!!! So glad you enjoyed it!

I played it again and absolutely can see that the fonts in a few places need a rework. Thank you very very much!!

Wow thank you very much for playing and for writing all of this detailed and thorough feedback! Holy cow thank you! This means so much! We will absolutely consider all of these suggestions and hopefully will put together an update in the future to improve the game.

Right off the bat I think #’s 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, and 8 I can absolutely see in my own experience during playtesting it myself. We were pretty crunched for time for the Jam we initially made this for, and I think its time to revisit it and improve. I think I can put together a fix for those soon-ish…

Just want to say again, WOW: thank you for putting so much thought and effort into your comment/review here, really means a TON that you really gave the game a play and spent so much time putting together this feedback. Thank you very very much.

SO FUN

Thank you! Such a pleasure to be able to work on this with Saul Woolsey, absolutely love his art!

I zoomed out really far and then I could barely see the start button to click on. The resolution when you get into the game is fine, I think it’s just this startup screen if that helps debug!!

Also its very fun! May want to add a line in the tutorial how to eat the food!

I think there’s some kind of resolution bug going on, this is what I see when I try to play it image.png

Nice!! Thanks for this feedback! Greatly appreciated!!!

Thank you!!! Also I’m very very impressed you got the trees lol, even when I play it I can’t seem to quite get them consistently

This means so much to read… thank you!!!

Thanks for playing! Sound and music made by Cyberleaf!

Dungeon travelers 2… vita only unfortunately unless you can read Japanese, then you can find it on psp. My favorite game in the genre and my favorite game in general. It’s great. You can find game play videos in English on YouTube.

I’m in. I’ve been wanting to do this jam for years but life has always gotten in the way. Gonna make the time this year.

Very fun! I’m proud of my score.

This one might be better than that!

So fun! WOW. Inspiring. Love these kinds of games!

So fun! Amazing! Music, theme, everything! So fun!

AMAZING

WOW. Amazing. Perfect. Wow. 10/10. 5 stars across the board.

Oh my goodness its sooo hard haha I can’t even beat the first level. But, very well done, love the music, the little details, the whole feel.

How strict are you going on AI generated “content”/where are you drawing the line for the jam? No generated images I totally understand. What about AI generated/augmented text or AI generated/augmented ideas and concepts? By ‘augmented’ I mean using AI generated text or ideas to get the creative juices flowing.

Please don’t crucify me for asking haha

This is very very very cool.

Haha true, just a quick lil project :)

What is the jam's take on AI generated content? I feel like the jam will be particularly impacted by the rapid nature of asset (graphics and audio) and code generation possible via AI.

Personally I would prefer that it be deemed alright to use as I think it's a tool that is here to stay regardless of the ethical concerns and I think it would be useful to get practice using it as the tool it is...

I don't have any artistic talent, this image of the beholder was generated by the DreamShaper AI model, then minorly edited afterwards. All other images are public domain!

Oh no, thank YOU for making a super cool system! ‘Twas very fun to make this add-on/fan content!

Thanks for clarification! Submitted!

In other ttrpg's the idea is that you have persistent characters that you carry between sessions that level up in a permanent way. Just wanted to ask about your ideas on the dungeons we create being with the intention to run with existing characters of various "levels", or is every dungeon essentially a one-shot with brand new characters every time? I think either way this jam is very fun, just wanted to clarify!

28.49...

I'd appreciate the mention of https://rezajamesahmed.itch.io/dungeons-of-divination under tarot card use if you are willing!

Rule 1 is:

  • The game must have first-person exploration at all times. (See the above GIF). Exceptions are point to point overworld map movement (fast travel), combat screens or town screens.

I believe cutscenes should be added to this list, as most modern dungeon crawlers have them.
