Hey, thank you for appreciating my effort in recording real instruments. I am still a little divided on recording drums - getting them right seems so hard, I wonder if it is worth it. Maybe for a jazzy song? I would argue that programmed beats have a certain appeal too. Let's see if I will give it another shot anytime soon ^^. Thanks for your comment.
Perhaps the trumpet is a little too distant - that's a good observation! I have to admit that I have not given my mixes too much thought yet - I play with the volume and pan around until it feels okay. Maybe in the future, I need to return to the mix after a break to spot these details. Thanks a lot for giving me hints to improve :)
Hey man, cool track! I really enjoyed the composition and your choice of sounds - apart from maybe the strummed acoustic guitar tone (its a little harsh maybe? quite subjective tho and I guess comes from a guitar player who is into more mellow stuff). I found it kinda funny to read in your miro notes that you are just starting to learn mixing - same here, I submitted to the OST Comp Jam #7 (let's hope for the results soon, your track there was great!), and I also noticed some mixing issues (especially volume) for my submission and tried working a little on that.
Until we meet again in the next jam perhaps? :D
Edit: What is that bass sound? I think it is pretty cool. Something like Trilian Ac 1 it says in your notes.
What an amazing concept, I would love to see something like an MMO that is more focused on solving puzzles and exploring together. Imagine spending days to uncover a deep layer of the ocean, makes you feel like a group of virtual scientists!
Could definitely hear the Gymnopédies by Satie in "Biolumenesca" and loved how you gave it your own spin.
Also a great idea to put the noise and background into the rediscovered "Wash Away".
I agree with others that "Ectosymbiosis" is one of the coolest tracks on the album - good job!
Great job, this entry stands out in its creativity and managed to capture a range of emotions! I especially loved the tranquil atmosphere of "There Is Void" - makes me dream myself away :D.
And let's not forget that epic choir at the end!
It would totally fit an "artsy adventure", as you mentioned in your description ^^.
Amazing work! You created a beautiful and calming listening experience all the way through - my favourite track was "hidden in the sea". I am also impressed with the quality of composition and how the last track developed and kept my attention - when the bass notes on the piano hit at around 1:16 it makes for a great moment!
