it's a cool concept but there is no way to lose in its current state, and the strategic aspect of the game is very tame because of that. I feel like I had very little influence on the elixir completion.

Maybe I missed something? still I think the concept is cool !

thank you !

thank you so much for the feedback I'm glad you enjoyed it !

thank you Spaguetti I love your nickname !

I see, this is interesting, I will take into consideration what you said to make consistent rules in the future about whether a resulting item has a shadow or not. Now that you're explaining this I understand the confusion.

Thanks you for this exhaustive review and for playing the game until the end, I'm glad you had fun despites these shortcomings :)

It's a working tower defence but I noticed some problems:

- Why light-themed enemies are blue? Shouldn't they dark-themed?

- The world map is too zoomed-in.

- Towers that don't hit a type of enemies (light on light for example) trigger their attack sound each time they try to damage enemies, which become ear-wrenching when playing the game at higher speed

- Tower Defence using randomly generated card force you to leak because you have money but no card themed against the enemies you are facing, resulting in the player spending money on useless tower to draw new cards.

Still, I like the theme and ideas!

the world you build is beautiful and coherent, I wish the combat would include some animation cancelling with dashing, and a consistent way to heal all the damage that I take.

there is an issue with AZERTY kerboard: your engine automatically put ZQSD for movement (which is the equivalent of WASD on qwerty keyboards) but the button for shadow realm shift is also Q and doesn't change, So it took me a bit of time to understand why my screen lost colors sometimes lmao

There is potential in this game !

If  you didn't finished it try it again if you want !

I should have made a clear text in the first puzzle, R for restart !

I take note for the full game: explain the mechanics better,  so I could complexify the puzzle by not being able to bruteforce them while not being frustrating !

Thanks you very much for your feedback !

thank you I'm glad you liked it !

Thank you so much, comment like yours are what motivate me to continue this project, checking your game soon !

The tutorial is the most verbose one I've seen in ages, but the thing is, it's not clear either lmao. I was using earth spell on tree & worm then I came across some fish monster and I suppose I couldn't defeat it with what I had at the moment. This is why a flee option would be needed in combat

besides that, your art is marvelous, the execution is well done and the direction is well thought. I enjoyed this entry regardless of his shortcomings

Thank you for the constuctive feedback.

alright mister independant

thank you so much I'm glad you enjoyed the game !

thank you for this heartwarming comment !

really how I regret not saying at the first puzzle that you can press R for restart !

I'm glad you enjoyed it !

alright !

It's a bit rough around the edges, but I like your little story.

It's an honest game, small in scope, but everything is working and it's pleasant to play, thank you :)

You have a cool art, also voice lines are cool, you even added voice lines when clicking on specific elements.

However, finding little object in the dark, while the light source is also limited is a bit much for me.

I read your gdd and was surprised to see shadowgate wasn't an inspiration for your game. I think you'll like it, seeing your game is also a point and click limited by light source

There is good ideas for platforming, each level has his own challenge.

However it's HARD and when you die, patterns don't reset, meaning the game need precise jumping with a lot of patience.

There is potential, it's a bit frustrating right now

your building system is fun but:

-no sfx

-no limit of the world you can walk on water

- Ui doesn't disappear when you close inventory

-there is no real objective

- you have an automatic rifle but you need to click each time to shoot like a semi automatic one

It's rough, but I liked minmaxxing stats

Yeah The art is cool but there is no sound and no explanation on what to do, it's rough

Alright I'll admit the guy beat me to death two times.

Wasn't expecting a horror game, it changes from the other submissions

cool work

I had fun with game, collecting color pellets and all, then I unlocked the burst attack, started to beat enemies and the game crashed, black screen, nothing happends.

Except for this hiccup, I liked it !

cute little dog with mischevious plans !

The game don't scale with resolutiion, fortunately it doesn't hide the important stuff of the screen

Character is a bit hard too control, I had some hard time succeeding the jumps on the 2 fireballs levels.

I didn't know how to proceed after, I didn't find a way with the wall, and I tried a lot of things

Your game run really smoothly on my computer despite being a 3d game and my computer sucking ass, congratulations !

Oh. But I was doing diagonals to match the drawing

The game is fun, you explore a lot of mechanics.

The pacing is weird as movement and transformation is slow but everything need to be done under short timers

the game doesn't scale with resolution, be careful !

your sprites are nice tho

combat is cool, artstyle too, where alchemy.

UI does not scale with resolution so everything is far too big for me.

Be careful with the build you ship !

the game is AGGRESSIVE

I tried to use my shadow power, drew a bolt and then nothing happened, or I guess i didn't get it.

Anyway I brute force my way into the level and the guards never caught me.

Your sprites are very good!

The concept is good however in execution you have one of the slowest turn based rpg I've seen.

The game wouldn't have been the same without your awesome mouth sfx.

I was stuck after the first night, the game wouldn't proceed

nice sprite work tho

there's a lot of problem in your entry, it's slooooooooooow, camera clip into the wall, your attack is tied to a magic bar that refill slowly...

I guess you were alone and aimed for too large of a scope

Cool puzzle game that fits the theme of jam. There's a lot of puzzles too !

It wasn't very clear how to make potion and I nearly stopped before understanding that water shroom cauldrom = potion, but I managed.

Very good entry!

Complicated, hard to understand, The top down sprites is cool tho
