The charming art style becoming more horror themed made for a catchy style.  I quite like the feedback on both the correct and incorrect mouse movement 'cuts'.

Excellent game 'juice'!  The visual feedback and pulse sound helped make this very satisfying to play and I really enjoyed the neon styling!

I'm using Google Chrome.

Haha, the SFX were very fun and I really like the art style!

The game seems to consistently freeze for me at the end of the level where you get a second summoning portal, but I wish that I could play the rest of the game!

Love the artstyle and presentation of the game!  It feels very polished!

The style is lovely and helps make it a very satisfying game to play.  Including all of the matchups on the side of the screen was very helpful, since it becomes quite a lot to keep track of!

Sorry to hear that.  We worked hard to try and keep the performance stable.  Thanks for letting us know!

Thank you, we appreciate the feedback!

It sounds like you might be talking about the 'spacebar' button to cancel build.  Maybe calling it Unselect Card would have been clearer.

Uh oh, thanks for bringing that bug to our attention!  Glad that you enjoyed the rest of the game!

We appreciate that!  And you make a good point, a speed control would be a nice addition.

Neat visuals and presentation!

Making your attacks drain your size was a nice way to tie in the theme!

Cute animations!  I do think the movement feels floaty, which makes it feel hard to control, but overall, good job!

Haha, shaking the mouse for movement gets tiring, but for the short length of a game jam game, it makes for a really unique and on theme feeling.  Good job and neat idea!

Very charming!  I would have liked to see some more difficult puzzles, but it's a satisfying experience overall!

Neat game!  I think that the enemies could use a bit longer flee duration when they get hit, as they didn't give me much of an opportunity to get away when I hit them.

Haha, pearls/jokers were a big part for the last day.  I used the robot to help save actions to build up money in the first couple of days.

I'm not sure whether I got lucky at the end, or whether clicking on all of my fishing rods in quick succession caused all of the fish to receive the big fish bonus, but I was able to get a score of 1376, which was quite a bit higher than I was getting when I was clicking on them one by one!

Haha, I do think you figured out the optimal strategy with the current way the fish combine!  Adding some rare fish and making the fishing minigame not fill up with junk as quickly would make for a fun decision of 'how much do you want to push your luck to wait for a specific fish'.

I'm glad that you appreciated the fish names!  I had a lot of fun seeing what weird results I could get while I was testing the combining system.  I think one of my favorites was 'Jellynow', from the Jellyfish and the Minnow.

Thank you for the kind words!

Thanks!  I would like to show more info when combining spells, possibly with a preview of what the result would be.

If you find it easier, you can also use WASD instead of the arrow keys.  Though, I would also like to add an option for rebinding controls.

I appreciate the feedback!  The game balance is definitely something that we would have loved to have more time to adjust.  I think the battles did not scale up in difficulty enough, and the fishing minigame scaled up too much!

That's an interesting suggestion for assigning fish to the buttons.  We were thinking about ways to make the effects easier to identify, but adding the ability to choose which ones to have active is a good thing to consider.

Thanks!

Thank you!  We had discussed making the ability to combine cards a room reward or a thing to spend your coins on, but we realized that we wouldn't be able to finish that feature in time, so we decided to let players experiment freely.

Thanks!  I agree with you about the fishing minigame.  We would have loved to have more time to adjust the balance.  Making it have a lower max difficulty and scale up in difficulty slower are both on our list of adjustments that we plan to make.

That's really nice to hear!  I'm glad that you enjoyed it!

Thank you, that's quite an honor!

Really cute art!  I couldn't seem to get the cone to register as being where it needed to go, but I was able to get through the first part by luring the eel further and further out of its hole (as it didn't fully reset when I respawned), until its head was past the opening.

The movement is very satisfying and feels really responsive!

Very unique and goofy game.  I found the sensitivity on the way the fishing bar raises/lowers to be difficult to control.

This feels very polished and looks great!  Some more options for upgrades would help keep the game interesting for longer, but the sleek presentation made it a very satisfying game to play.

Neat presentation.  I agree that the sub felt like it had a lot of health, but overall it's an interesting game.

The animations and art style are adorable!

Neat styling, and the interactive main menu is a fun way to learn the controls!  I do wish the intro sequence was a bit quicker, as I found the game to be pretty tough and needed to restart a lot.

Haha, a similar thing happened to me!  Game 1 the AI scored on itself all 5 times, but for the games after that I didn't stand a chance.  And I have to agree, the art is cute!

This is a fun and creative game, with enough variety on the upgrades to keep me experimenting until I figured out a strategy that I think would be hard for me to improve further!
