This reminds me of fireboy and watergirl (without watergirl).

The character reminds me of "Deadcells".

I like the game. If you are still working on it, here are some ideas:

1 adding enemies that you could use your gun against

2 make it harder (make it harder to beat the game

3 adding vehicles (flying cars?)

4 more upgrades

5 placing materials to build

The sandbox map crashed for me too. But when i tried again, It worked the second time.
