It makes me mad too, believe me!! It's really hard to figure out why this happens because it simply does not happen on my system. I try my best to figure out the cause and update the game after the voting phase.

Could you tell me the OS and Browser you use? (And maybe additional information you think could be important).

My friend is using Brave on Windows 11. Using Microsoft Edge for this game 'solved' the issue for him.

Thank you for playing! The plan from the start was to make the floors a bit more visually distinctive and give the doors more 'life', but unfortunately my time was cut short by life circumstances :/.

weird! I have a friend to whom this also happens, seems to be a very specific problem. I can't reproduce this on my system though which makes it 100x harder to identify. Sorry!

Maybe I'm still a little bit too sleepy, but I couldn't figure out what was going on my own.

Presentation is top notch however!

Stupid fun, love it.

Completely stupid. 10/10 Great Work!

One thing I learned about myself today is that I really shouldn't be detective (in real life).

Great work!

Anytime I see a 3D game with a narrator and doors my mind immediately goes to: 'When Stanley came to a set of two open doors, he entered the door on his left.'.

Anyway, great stuff. How do I get the pre-order bonus?

I love it soo much! The idea, the story, the gameplay everything comes really nicely together. Great work!

The flashlight is really cool! Putting jump on 'W' is kinda unconventional,  but you get used to it very quickly.
The last level was a tough one. If you plan continuing development, I think shorter levels (<30sec.) are the way to go.

Great work!

Just saw the video and had to check it out! Great job @ everyone

Wowie! This is a bug I've encountered during development that I thought I fixed, I guess not. Thanks for reporting!

This is the type of game I think about when I say "weird/funny indie games". Love it!

Very solid foundation! Excited to see what's next!

Hopefully game balance gets a good look after this (I only upgraded attack, only attacked and won), but you two probably are on it. :)

I didn't know I wanted to play tetris this badly but here I am.

With the right sound design (and of course further development) this game could go so hard.

Please continue!

Agreed!

Cool concept! It took a while to get used to the controls. Always after some time I was finding myself outside the screen and unable to slow down, which is a bummer.

I agree with the last comment!

If you want to make it, I would really love to play a more polished version of this someday! I'll be there.

Already left a comment on the main page but something that came to my mind just now:

It would be nice if there was a 'game over' screen.
If everything is locked and you can't purchase any unlock keys -> "That's that! Wanna restart?"
Not a deal breaker by any means, as the restart button is right there, but I think it would be nice :)

Insanely well thought out, seriously! The token system is genius.

I also found out that I'm extremely good at geography and nothing else :')

I love it so much!

First of all, I love this software! Never had so much fun with music production!
This is more a change for better a user experience instead of a feature request, I guess?
To make the experience a little bit snappier.

  • Remove the 1sec. "cooldown" of holding CTRL and let the menu appear instantly
  • Let the copy/paste menu move with your mouse
    • If the mouse enters another "square", it gets the copy/paste menu instead

Also, you can right-click the top-bar to access the copy/paste menu but you cannot right click the "squares". A small consistency issue.
(Sorry, I don't know the technical terms or the nicknames of these "squares")

I left a video here where I make the mouse-motion so it will maybe make it easier to understand. Thank you for reading :)

Will this work in both "directions", so shorter and longer? Would really spice things up

(1 edit)

I don't know how to describe it better.

Using PopOS 21.10 (Based on Ubuntu 21.10). Ryzen 5 5600X and RTX 3060.
The ~25%ish loads on all cores come from recording with OBS.

Hey, I'm not coming from the GameJam, I just stumbled by, I don't know how anymore tbh. But that's not important.

I just wanted to say thank you for this game. I know here is not much to see than a simple, but strong, message to yourself. But it helped me somehow. I'm currently struggling to get anything done in my life. Be it in finding a job/ tolerable place to make money or finally finishing a Game after I've abandoned dozens of GameJams. I really want to finish anything, but something just keeps me from it. Idk, it's really hard to explain...

Anyway, thanks to your game, I had some sort of restart in my brain. Something just clicked. I have to start fresh, small and take better care of myself. I wanna be better at the things I love. But maybe I have to take a step back. It's really hard to describe what is going on in my head. So I apologise, but the important thing is: It will be a game that sticks in someone's mind for someone out there, which includes me. Thank you.

Is it possible for you to implement a "File > New File" Feature? It would make setting up a new project way faster and user friendlier.

Will be possible in v1.1! Wanted to update but uploading new versions is blocked during the voting phase.

Really smooth, I liked it!

Dope.

I knew you would participate in LD a again! :)

Either way, it's a super chill and fun game. The art really flows with the music (or the other way around?). Even though it's super short, I really liked the idea!

Neat little, clean looking game. A bit confusing at first, but a really cool idea!

So, I found all keys and was able to find the error. Is this the end? Or did I miss something?

This was the best game out of all I played. Thanks for creating it! :)

Really fun game! Had a couple of laughs! Thx!

I don't quite understand why there is a 5sec cooldown on sudoku but other than that REALLY fun game! :)

Really good game, you see there's a lot of passion behind it. Although the text is pretty hard to read.
