As an update, we have just opened a limited audience beta for the new MPAGD support for Vic 20. And two games for Vic 20 made with MPAGD are arleady available to play and download: B-Squared Vic-20 by kamaleon70 and slASHer ViC 20 by ZXAMAZE

Thanks :)

Thanks for trying our game. The time was limited for the jam but we will improve the game in the next future. Also it is an actual NES game. I was playing it on my NES coming from the 80’s. :)

Graphics and player movements are great! Overall the game is really nice.

Very nice game. I was blocked at the same point indicated in the previous comment, but overall the game, the music and effects are really cool! Good job!

Thanks for trying our game. Yes assembly was a little difficult but not too much. We have tools to simplify the work now that they did not have in the 80's.

Thanks for trying our game. Yes the game is very small and unfinished. The time was limited but we are planning to extend the game and fix the issues. The feedback is really appreciated and we will remember it while doing the updates.

Very cool! Nice music and cool graphic effects! Good job!

Thanks for trying our game. The game worked with my "snes" gamepad on PC and of course it works on the original gamepad on the real NES. It is an actual NES game so the web emulator is limited. But the real experience is on a real Nintendo Entertainment System.

This is really a good game! I like everything about it, the hand drawn style is great! Also I like the light "fish eye" effect. Great job!!!

Yes I noticed as well. You should still probably use godot 3 until 4 is more stable. Consider that for jams almost everybody prefers trying the web version than the desktop one.

Great game and great music! A little difficult but great potential in this game. Good job!

Cool game! Only note is that the audio seems not perfect while moving from one screen to another and also while jumping sometimes I go back to another screen. But overall... Good Job!

Thanks for trying our game. Yes the time was limited and programming in assembly is a little hard so we had to limit the functionalities for now. No you can't kill the skeletons in this version, just avoid them. About the areas where the player could jump, we are already thinking to make them more evident so we will have this fixed in the next updates to the game.

Cool game! I like the music, sound and graphic effects! Good job!

Nice game. Great music. Good job!

The game is great and the music is fantastic! Great job!

Thanks for trying our game. Yes the color choice in NES is limited but we could have handled it better. We are looking for the future to improve the game and the choice of better colors is for sure something we have to consider. Thanks.

This game is great. I like the music and also the graphics and game mechanics. Great job!

Thanks for reviewing my game. Yes we had not a lot of time to work on the game and I know that is limited. We have already planned to add more features (and probably more sounds :) as well) in the next future.

Very nice game! Cool graphics. Also on my browser the game is zoomed, I had to scroll to the bottom right and then I was able to go full screen. Maybe you can adjust the size of the screen in the settings of the game, to make the game a better experience. Overall, good job!

Cool game! I like the NES-style used for the game! Good job!

Very nice game, great 3d graphic effects! I like the fact that I have to shoot the doors to open them like in metroid! Good job!

I like the background sound and the graphic effects. I see a lot of potential to the game. Keep working on it! Good job!

Thanks for reviewing our game. The time to work on this jam was limited but we will work to improve the game after the jam review period.

Thanks for testing our game. Yes assembly is not easy, also it was the first NES game (I did other assembly games but for Atari 2600). Anyway this jam was 30 days long so there was some time. :)

Thanks for the feedback. I'll try to improve the scroll and the camera movement when I will work on updating the game with better and new functionalities. :)

Thanks for testing the game. Just a note: there is a door at the right end of the second screen that teleports to another set of two screens where is the potion to reach the portal in the first two screens. This is as far I can get as metroidvania from an assembly programming standpoint in 1 month. The plan is to add more stuff and improve it in the next future.

Hi, I have updated the Punch Chess game for the jam with some music composed by Pedro Pimenta

The game is very nice. Very old style. The only thing is that it is a regular windows application. Was it not supposed to be an application made for discontinued platforms?

I have tried gamejolt but the rar file seems corrupted there as well. Can you maybe please try to upload a zip?

I was not able to try the game. There is a problem while uncompressing the file on windows.

Very cool game! Great graphics and music! Great old style 3D game.

Cool game! I like the music and sound effects! The game is fun! Good job!

Thanks a lot. I tried to use the limitations of the Atari 2600 to my advantage. :)

Thanks for reviewing my game. :)

Thanks for playing the game. I am really happy that you like it. Programming in assembly with the Atari 2600 limitations is difficult but very rewarding… :)

Hi, I have submitted my game. Is called punch chess and is a game for Atari 2600. If you want to try instructions and the game playable in the browser (for both computer and mobile phones) is here: Punch Chess by kamaleon70 (itch.io)

I have recompiled the project for browser, now everything should be OK for html as well.
