I loved the idea of the game and the art is so pretty! I wish there was a way to see your score in more detail like how many arrows/objects you got right especially since the objects are good/ bad depending on the character. But for a Jam game you it was awesome the amount of content delivered, congrats on the game!
I like the idea of living the clues, but there could be improvements in AI and maps. But this being a Jam and from what I see you work on it solo what you did was really good in the time you had, I would not be able to do half of what you did. Just the idea was a bit ambitious for 48h, but congrats on trying and achieving as much as you did!
AIso breaking boxes was a little strange to me, I think the idea could be slightly changed to something like a graffiti game, where you could have a wall you need to graffiti and escape the guards. This makes more sense to me since the graffiti tag is like a clue to how made them and you could maybe drop pain bottles to distract the guards or something. I see potential in this idea if you want to keep working on it.
Awesome game, I played because my game was also Pinball. I think we even got inspired by the same traditional Pinball layout, but I loved how you integrated a story into yours that makes sense why you move the ball and even has a "moral" at the end. The art style I thought was cool as well with the simple hand drawing but really stylized and the pinball a nice made by clean 3D shapes.
While playing I found a bug where if you spam space at the beginning to skip the dialog (I was playing the 2nd time to see what happened when you got caught), you may accidentally add multiple balls to the game. Not gonna lie it was funny!
Hi, love the game and your channel. One of the best games and story in the jam. I know you'll probably never continue to work on this again, but I'll like to share a few ideas I had for things you could improve:
- Make a confirmation screen after changing the password, it just closes and is a bit weird
- Make so the names and numbers are random every run so you can replay it
- Make it so that when you click the Binbows it always opens on top of other screens, it opens weirdly when click when you're already reading an email
- I know is probably a lot of work but let every window be draggable, I was initially confused why I couldn't move some of them
- Make a minimize button on all windows it will be so helpful in the create password screen so you could navigate between the screens easier
- You could make it so that when the window was placed outside of a border of the screen it will position itself right next to the border it was crossing because when I tried to place the text just in the border it was frustrating it got back to the middle
- I'll love to have more levels, but also something that would be fun is to have little mischievous things you could do like deleting the pet image or sending a message to the parents. If this was a full game these things could be achievements
- And one last this the white with pink in the middle border was not the best, I may be the only one that has this happen, but at some point when reading the emails it kind of looked like a scroll bar, so I tried to scroll and got confused
But seriously love the game, it's so pretty and such a clever interpretation of the theme!
Hi, I decided to play your game because you leave a nice review on mine and I'm so glad I did. You definitely nailed the theme, is so satisfying changing the roles and the art style is gorgeous!! The way the game feels is so nice both as the hero and the minion.
I'll only have a few minor suggestions, first at the beginning when you start playing with the hero it could have a tutorial to pick up the arrows I only realize the mechanic when I see it being done while playing the villain. And second, when playing as the villain it could have the mouse keys and space bar near their respective cooldowns to be easier to see which is which.
But I really loved the game, I think this game definitely will be on top of the ranks!
Thanks for playing! I played so much of the old windows Pinball definitely nostalgic!
I got a lot of criticism about the camera, and I get what you say about increasing the chaos as well. I just didn't want to overdo the collisions because since the camera is currently so close I was worried it could make people have motion sickness. I'll try to fine-tune these aspects of the game after the jam has ended. Thanks again!
Hii, play your game cause our games had almost the same name 😅, but we went on really different directions which is so cool.
Your game is really fun, the art style is super pretty, love the red and white on top of black, is a clean look and the skull is super well done as well. The game is fun to play, it would be cool maybe to have more maps, but awesome game for a jam.
Yeah, I see now how not knowing how many bumpers the game had could be a problem. I place them in the same positions of the game I use as inspiration, but decided to add one more to make it more interesting (and to have an even number of bumper 😅). I think I'll implement your idea of showing the total on the main screen. Thank you for playing and I'm glad you like the overall board too!
Amazing game! I'm playing most of the Pinball inspired games (because my game is also pinball inspired) and yours is definitely on a completely different level. The art is amazing, the select screen is so pretty, and the gameplay is so fun but also challenging and the right amount of luck based. I'm amazed by the variety of mechanics and objects like logs, mushrooms, small balls, big balls, multiple balls, restoring the smashed item. I love how you can interact with the balls as well, for some reason I assumed you would be able to but it feels so nice. I would definitely buy this if it had more levels and maybe more story/lore, some achievements maybe. I also don't know why you only have 12 reviews it should have so much more! Seriously, congrats, I'm hoping for you to get an awesome classification!
Awesome game, this feels so polished. But I have to agree with other criticism that the game was a bit too hard.
My biggest problem was understanding the timing of the collision with the top of the 3D pieces when the game was on the levels that were distorted. That made me stop playing in what I believe was one of the last levels, the distorted one with the 2nd ghost. Maybe you could have made it so the collision area of the pieces was a bit smaller in the distorted levels or something.
The game is so much fun and it looks so good. I initially play it because it was a Pinball theme like mine, but the idea of creating your own Pinball machine was so fun, one of the best games I played so far.
Also, I found a bug where you can place the bumper outside the machine, thankfully when you do this it gives you the bumper back, but keeps the other one floating which was really funny.
Ah, and good luck with whatever you were studying for!
Great game, I play it because it's a PinBall game just like my game, but your idea with the ball wanting to get to the bottom was so creative.
The visual is minimalistic but super pretty. The audio is good too which is impressive because it repeats after a few seconds without being annoying.
The only thing I feel is that it could have a better ending screen because when I finish it I immediately bounce back up and die 🥲. But I could see this becoming like a mobile game with a few more levels.
Nice game, I played it because it was a similar idea to mine, but the execution was super different and so good. I also got the square stuck at the bottom sometimes, and I think the biggest problem with that is it happens if you don't move the ball at all, so it's almost bound to happen on your first time when you don't know the controls too much. Maybe you could position the ball so it fall on the lever or some sort of ground just so the player has time to understand the controls better.
But the game was great. Rhe music and sound effects were really good as well.
Loved this game, the art is super nice and the controls of hitting the machine were super creative! Initially play it because your idea was kind of similar to mine, but you went in a different direction, that was really good and creative.
I just thought the icons of the hands were a bit confusing because it looks like you were hitting the machine on one side and the ball goes to the same side, I thought it should be reversed. Also, it could be a bit easier, it could have more points to start from because in my first play-through I lost all points 😂😂
