What a neat game! A planet simulator is such a big idea for a jam, it's inspiring to see it pulled off. I'd love to see the finished game with all the systems implemented sometime.

This game is very relatable.

Also it is very fun, and I like it.

I absolutely love the central mechanic. You did a great job of designing the maze, I was always able to get my bearings with a little exploration, and every death generally felt like a major breakthrough. Excellent idea, I'd love to see this expanded upon.

This is a really neat idea, having parallel worlds makes for some really cool puzzle solving. Nice game!

I liked this a lot, the newspapers added tons of flavor, the missiles were interesting and fun to use. Love the references to pigeon guided missiles and the aurora borealis. Great game!

This is such a cool idea! The multiple tasks to juggle along with the visual hallucinations created such a tense atmosphere. Really really cool game, way to go.

Very cute game! I loved the character design and emphasis on story, it was really unique and charming! And awesome that you included thorough documentation! Very nice game.

Really beautiful spritework and ambience, and the opening cutscene was very professional. I liked the music a lot, it really enhanced the vibe. Looking forward to the devlog, it'll be neat to see how you put this together.

Link to the past was definitely an inspiration, one of my favorites. Thank you for playing!

Thank you!

Yeah I noticed the extra arrows, and while that might not be the best option it avoids desyncing the music which is super cool, that’s my biggest worry.

If this was a real sport I’d tune in to every match. Jokes aside, this was a really good time, the music was a bop. Did you have any trouble making a rhythm game in Godot? I want to make one of my own but I’m worried input delay might screw it up, any tips?

Very nice aesthetic and theming, the spritework is great. Including a gamespeed slider is a nice touch and feels very professional. Cool game!

Good message, doesn't mean I have to accept it! If I never press the accept death button I never lose! HAHAHAHA. :-(  This is really nice though I like it a lot.

Really good puzzle, this one was a challenge. Art was great as well.

This was a lot of fun, I loved the kooky characters and random familiar faces. I'm going to have to play this again to see where some of these characters are up to. Great game!

Really liked the spritework, the fireball and lightning spells looked great and felt great to cast. Good use of unintended consequences as well, caught me off guard a number of times. Cool game!

When the last minute panic sets in and you stop caring about writing good code and just write good enough code. Been there. The Game Jam Experience!

Boy oh boy I never expected to see a job simulator featuring gerrymandering, let alone have a great time playing a job simulator featuring gerrymandering! The worldbuilding was really great too, tons of charm! Great game, and a very cool puzzle!

I'm not sure I fully understood all the systems at play, but I destroyed a lot of hospitals and sometimes that's all you can do. Very cool strategy game and simulation, I bet the code is a wonder to look at. Cool game!

This one required a lot of thought, good puzzle design is not one of my talents, it's always cool to see a well thought out puzzle game. Very fun.

This was really clever, I like how the unintended consequences turn the original goal on its head. The lighting did a whole lot for the minimalist level design, it looked super nice. Great game!

Thanks, that's high praise! The final boss may need some balancing, he doesn't really know when to chill out and tends to spawn his strongest attacks... Glad you had fun, thanks for playing!

Good advice thank you! I do want to touch it up after the jam, there are definitely areas that need work, the missing final cutscene being one of them. Thank for playing!

(1 edit)

I got got. Well played. Great use of unintended consequences mechanically, but also in other places. 17 minutes I didn't notice passing lol. Great game.

This game is awesome, no spoilers. Fantastic use of the theme. Very polished too, for how much code would have to go into this. Way to go, hope you win.

You tied unintended consequences and not dead yet together in such a clever way. Super cool idea!

Did not read the description before playing, the unintended consequences completely blindsided me. Absolutely hysterical. Take my points, take them all, what a great interpretation of the theme

The Police Squad theme was an excellent choice, you obviously have incredible taste. The rhythm game in the bottom corner while navigating a 3D environment was genius, way to go! Great game!

Thank you!

10/10 would set the nuke on fire again. Had a very choose your own adventure feel with some of the consequences, super funny. And the music was great! Looking forward to the devlog.

Thank you! Embarrassingly, I just forgot to loop the music. Thanks for playing!

Thanks a bunch, I spent way too much time learning about shaders for this game. R is the restart button, It's on the webpage but not the tutorial, so it's fair to have missed it. Thanks for playing!

This was so cute! I love the art, and it was fun seeing how the dragon's training (or lack thereof) applied to the random challenges it faced. Excellent game!

I need more of this, this felt so good to play! I'm legitimately curious how you made this work, the driving and flying feel so good. Fantastic game!

Pretty cool making a shooter for a jam. The gun is chunky and firing and reloading feel nice. Cool game!

The spritework was very charming, especially on the AI, it looked great. The AWD buttons for selecting upgrades was elegant, and having the character sprite be the XP bar was a nice touch. Great game!

This was really super polished, and I had a good time. Got bodied by that skeleton though haha!

This was a cool idea, really neat take on an arcade shooter!

There's an impressive amount of systems in the game, this must have been a beast to put together. I played this longer than I do most jam games cause it was fun just existing in this world. Great game!
