This was awesome.
The art and sound effects are really nice. I only got 2 endings. Those being hit by a car and getting killed by the red monster guy. My runs usually involved running around aimlessly before the red guy gets me. It was still really fun. The lack of music amplifies the eeriness. It makes the sound effects much more pronounced.
Also, those super light faces showing up on screen were real evil.
Although I didn't get all the endings, it was a very fun game. Good work!
This was a delightfully terrifying game.
The mechanic of having to not look at ghosts but then check that location afterwards to calm down is so cool to me. I wasn't totally sure what the pills were for, I popped one just for fun and didn't really notice anything happened.
I will say around 6 I had found myself just sitting and waiting for the night to be over. The fear had slightly went away.
I super love the art style. I am curious how you did it. It looks like the decorations and things are 2d but are the walls? I can't figure out if they are drawn or 3d. If they are drawn, I am curious how you got it to look like the player is looking around a 3d room with 2d walls. I'm not sure if I worded that right. Welp.
This was a real treat to play!
This was quite the gem. I enjoy this departure from the usual game genre you (BadPiggy) work in.
The battle encounters were super fun and tense. I do feel restarting the battle completely when you die is a bit bananas, but it certainly adds to the tension.
The environment was really eerie. I was always worried something was going to be right around the corner. You nailed it!
This is some amazing work and I'm excited to see what else you make in this genre, if you decide to do so!
The art and style on this is wonderful. The movement was also super nice.
Great atmosphere, great game, great work!
SPOILERS!!!
I did have to cut it short because I found it far too difficult to dodge the purple spirit things. I'm not sure if it was because of the platforming or I had trouble navigating and using items in the inventory. Still great work up until the demon fellas got too much.
I think it would help a lot if the spirits got stunned when shot. I find it hard to reload, shoot, and dodge all at once.
This was fantastic. I super loved the art style. I also really liked the little cutscene things.
I wish there was a way to tell that the little stomper things were about to come down. I felt like I was getting crushed a ton because I didn't know when they were going to come down. But that may just be a skill issue.
This was a fantastic game and I am excited to see what else you make.
This is genuinely a super good concept and I hope you expand on this game.
I did find a glitch where, if you are holding click on a certain part of the front door, your progress for tasks increase. I ended up going through the whole game like this without ever going into the beginning "office" room. I think it could be changed up a bit to make this bug a feature. Instead of going into the room to do tasks. Maybe you take out a tablet or laptop and do the tasks. However, the tablet or laptop would totally obscure your vision. I understand how having the computer in the beginning room could add a bit of stress. It's all up to you if you make this change, just a suggestion! It doesn't take away from the game.
I only ever found 2 invaders trying to get into my home when the phone guy said there were 3. Not sure if that was a bug. I also never used the breaker because the burglars never got it, but I'm sure it was a neat mechanic once they got in. On night 4, it says "Night 4" and then sends me back to the main menu. Not sure if that is a bug or just where the game ends for now.
I also feel like the tasks could have a little more interaction. It would be cool if you would open a computer and you had to match files for your "detective work."
Again, I really enjoyed this game and I hope to see you work on it more. It has a ton of potential!
I really love this funny concept. This concept could be expanded into a really fun game. Currently, I think it falls short in some places.
Controlling the pan takes a while to get used to. It nice to have to learn and master a mechanic, but if that mechanic is the only way you experience the game, you want it to be fairly easy to pick up right away. I think the problem could be that the pan slows down it's spinning once it does one full rotation. It would be easier to control if it continued to spin at a nice pace so I have time to see what my options are.
Other than the controlling, the only other problem is that there isn't much of a goal. High scores are nice but they get boring if you don't get more interesting stuff the higher your score is. Maybe the more people you bonk, you end up in new places like a military base or something. A change of scenery would be motivating to keep pushing forward.
Like I said, amazing concept and I can really see this game going places. Amazing work!
You nailed the theme perfectly. The idea of all movement being backwards, pickups killing you, and spikes being platforms are such great ideas.
The execution is kind of iffy. If you're making a platformer, you want the player to know where they are heading. Considering how zoomed in the camera is, a lot of the game is a leap of faith. It's less of a rage game and more a of memorization game. Memorization games can be fun, but they get dull real fast if it's the same stuff over and over and over again.
I found it strange that on one level, I had a double jump, and the next level I didn't. Unfortunately, on the fourth level, I couldn't make that first jump from platform to block. If I still had my double jump, that would've been real easy. But like I said, the double jump randomly stopped. I also thought I could try to get a little more distance with a coyote-time jump, but the water is nearly level to the initial platform, so I died.
This is a really good concept that just needs a few adjustments to be a really good game.
A real beautiful game. I'm not the sharpest knife in the kitchen, so puzzle games are pretty tough for me to wrap my head around. This one was perfect. I never got stuck on a puzzle for too long and I always had that "Aha!" moment.
Amazing design. I loved the sound effects and music. All the character designs were so silly and cute. This was an all around amazing game.
Whenever the guy at the end said to jump into the sun whenever I'm ready, I didn't think I was. I had to turn around and really bask in where I was for a moment.
This was such an awesome, compact experience. I can't wait to see what else you create. Thank you for sharing!
