Just finished the game. Incredible. Are you sure you made this in just two weeks? Because it felt like one of those passion projects that developers spend years to make!

The gameplay is really well made! I played the jam version, which is rather grindy at the beginning, but once you get a good weapon and good armour it quickly becomes balanced. Overall, I found the fight difficulty and amount of money you get from each encounter to be measured well: you never find yourself with too much money to spend, and you have to think carefully of what you're buying. The only thing I'd change is the spawn rate of good gear in chests to be more generous, as it makes a huge difference. I saw from your comments that you made the game a bit easier in the latest version, which I'm sure will make the experience more enjoyable.

The puzzles are all accessible. Even though they weren't that hard, I never found myself bored thanks to the mechanics that you introduced with every new area. I found a couple of inconsistencies in the jam version (some random creatures would get stuck as they followed their scripted path, and on some floors the random creatures would disappear as I touched them instead of triggering an encounter), but as far as I know they could have already been fixed.

The artstyle is AMAZING! Every character oozes personality and they all look so cute! Your version of Hina was my favourite. 😊️ Even the monsters you find in random encounters look gorgeous! I can't get enough of your style! 🥺

The music is really impressive, as well. You managed to make several completely different tracks for the game areas, merchants, and fights, and they all sound so professional! I especially liked the book merchant's theme, I listened through it all even if I didn't really need to spend much time at her shop because I liked it so much!

The game is narrated in a very enjoyable way, I definitely liked the banter between the two main characters, and the humour was spot on! I expected a bit more from the finale, but maybe there are multiple endings depending on your choices? I was expecting some "next big step" for Hina and Nitori's relationship, but I only got a couple of lines about food instead.

I can see that you put a ton of effort into developing this game, and it really shows! Kudos to both of you!

This is the most unique game I've played in this game jam! It looks rather superficial at first, but it's actually got very deep mechanics underneath: juggling your rounds for lots of explosive damage, teleporting to an enemy to evade an attack, bullet jumping and dashing to reach all kinds of spots... The game really gives you freedom to do many interesting things! And it's quite hard, too! You really need to use these mechanics to the fullest to beat the game. I especially enjoyed the bosses' bullet patterns, they were challenging but didn't overstay their welcome. The map was somewhat confusing at first, but I figured out where I needed to go thanks to the blue beams of the crystals. A minimap could have been handy to understand where I needed to go.

The visuals are ok, it would have been nice to have some sort of animation for Reimu since she just looks like she's sliding whenever she's moving forward, but I can see how that would have been cumbersome to implement in such a short amount of time. The pixel art for Reimu, Aya, and Marisa was cute, I recognised them instantly!

I liked the music. I didn't expect drum 'n' bass and it felt strange at first, but it's actually kind of refreshing! It could have used a bit more variety, but again, I'm sure you had to focus on more important elements.

The story is pretty good! It's such a shame that you didn't have time to finish it all! I would have liked to see those missing scenes.

Overall, I enjoyed your game! It was challenging, not too short, and very interesting. Considering it was made by only one person in two weeks, I'd say it's impressive!

A fun twin-stick shooter! The gameplay is simple but well executed, and the addition of a reset button is definitely handy! The bullet patterns are all fair, I could see that you took your time to make sure the gameplay experience felt as enjoyable as possible.

I really liked the visuals! The backgrounds for the story segments are quite detailed; the final pixel-art scene, in particular, is very cute. The art for the shooter segment is even prettier! I especially liked the characters' sprites and animations. The movement of both Clowpiece's and Cirno's projectiles looked really smooth, as well.

I think you did a good job on the soundtrack, too. The rearrangements of the characters' themes fit right into the respective sections of the game! The battle track is frantic and engaging, while Cirno's mellow theme lets you cool down (heh) after the fight.

The only thing I felt detracted from the experience was the cursor. I often lost track of it in the middle of the fight, especially on insane difficulty: whenever Clownpiece got out of the arena, the cursor ended up blending in with the dark background. Perhaps you could make it brighter and maybe a bit thicker, as well.

Overall, though, it was definitely a fun and polished game! Also, I don't know who of you guys thought of the line below, but it made me laugh out loud!

I've played the game jam version as far as it allowed me to go after ignoring errors, which was up until Miko and Byakuren. Even though I'm now playing through Cold Open as well, I'll rate the game based on the unfinished version as a form of fairness toward the other participants, I hope you don't mind!

I'll start by saying that I like the concept! I've already seen VNs where you impersonate a bartender and it is a solid choice, as it allows you to add some gameplay elements in the form of mixing/choosing drinks. This makes the gameplay feel a little less samey and adds replayabilty. The choices are not always straightforward to interpret, which adds a bit of challenge, something that I appreciated.

I like the artstyle of the game: the backgrounds are clean and the characters look so good! It's a shame that in this version most of them are too big and don't fit in the screen. They also often overlap and sometimes don't even show up. I'm sure these problems were all due to a lack of time, as I see they've been fixed in the latest version of the game.

The audio effects are nice, I don't think I've seen other developers in this game jam add voice effects to the characters' lines! It's a good compromise between full voice acting and no voices at all, especially considering the scope of this jam.

The stories are all really enjoyable, I'm just sad I couldn't finish the game beacuse of errors! They all involve LGBTQA people being silly or serious one way or another, so I'd say you definitely got the theme right! The game touches multiple topics about gender identity and sexual/romantic attraction and they fit right into the narrative! I'm also convinced M is supposed to be someone important, but I haven't figured that out yet...

I want to say a few lines about the finished version as well. Once fixed and polished, the character portraits are GORGEOUS, it's such a shame you couldn't make it in time! At first, I immediately fell in love with your rendition of Rinnosuke, then I saw Mamizou and found her just as good, but then the more characters showed up, the more I loved the art! They all look wonderful! The music is also very fitting, I really felt the difference between the two versions of the game.

I haven't played through the final version fully, but I'll definitely update this comment or add another reply once I have. In any case, I really like your game and can't wait to finish it!

EDIT: Ok, so it turns out I had very little of the story left to play! The way you represented the credits with all the characters coming back to thank/say hi to you was really cute! I still haven't figured out who M is supposed to be though. Are they an existing character or just a stand-in for the player? I thought the former, since the dialogues hint at M having a definite backstory, and they do have a non-generic character design, but I couldn't tell. Anyway, I enjoyed the story very much! I didn't want it to be over and wished it to be a bit longer, but you still made an incredible work, considering it was for a two-week game jam!

In retrospect, it makes sense that the game doesn't necessarily expect you to read everything. I was so focussed on trying to get to know all about the characters that I didn't take into account that it would just be natural for Mokou to behave a certain way (i.e. go on with the story) after asking certain questions. Also, the mechanics you used for your previous game sound interesting, they make me want to check it out even more!

I can definitely see how Yakuza may have been an inspiration for you! Even though it's a crime series, it mostly revolves around the drama surrounding the characters. Some dialogue sections definitely gave me Yakuza vibes, in this sense.

Thank you for taking the time to reply!

Wow, this was quite the VN! I really enjoyed it, I could see you all worked hard on it. I haven't played the previous instalment, but I guess I'll have to check it out soon!

I was really surprised by the dialogues! The characters speak very naturally, like actual real-life friends would, and their personalities are well represented in their speech patterns.

The story is really moving. I don't know if any of you guys had similar experiences, but it sure feels like it, because I was really impressed by how genuine both Reisen and Youmu sounded when talking about their feelings. You absolutely nailed the LGBTQA aspect in more than one way.

I also appreciated that you went deep into the characters' backstories, which can be handy to people who are not familiar with them. The first sequence narrating Reisen's story was especially well made: I really liked the final transition, when the background turned black.

You are one of the few developers I've seen that added a bit of "gaminess" to their VN. Granted, it simply consists in choosing options, but it goes a long way in making the game feel less heavy. However, for some reason the game went on without me being able to ask Mokou the first question in the category "Love", maybe I should have selected it first? I have this thing where I tend not to go "from first to last in order" when choosing dialogue options. It's not that big of an issue, I just thought I'd let you know.

I really appreciated the Yakuza references, it's one of my favourite videogame series! From the name of the game, to the logo, to the choice of music for the final credits! The last one in particular really surprised me! My mind went "wait, I know this one..." and I soon got Yakuza 0 flashbacks! It was an unexpected easter egg.

The drawings are all wonderful! All the characters ooze personality. The soundtrack was very well made, too! And I found all the sound effects very fitting (the rain was really pleasant).

My only gripe is that I found a few spelling mistakes, but it's not a big deal. Props to the team!

It's such a shame you couldn't finish it, I really liked the premise! Your prose is also very pleasant to read, I especially liked the two sisters' introduction. And I could see that you made an effort to hand-draw everything, from characters to backgrounds! I would gladly play through the game once it's finished!

I haven't played many VNs, but I think I can say that this is the best one I've ever played! It's perfect, it isn't missing a single thing!

First of all, I have to commend your writing! It captivated me from start to finish, I couldn't take my eyes off the text! The narration feels very professional and well thought out. The recurring themes, character growth, and natural flow of the story make for a very pleasant visual novel.

I appreciated that you took the time to shortly introduce each of the main characters with a description of who they are and what they do! While I have played some Touhou games, I certainly can't say I know all the characters, so I was really glad I could read about their backgrounds before getting to the core of the story.

I could also see that either your team includes someone very passionate about chickens, or you took your time to research about them! Many of the things Kutaka explained, like the "pecking order" or how silkies are more docile, show how important of a project this has been for you. I didn't expect to learn so much about chickens!

The artstyle is really, really good! I liked the choice to keep the characters in black and white, it set the game apart from other VNs. I also appreciated the music! A couple of tracks felt repetitive after a bit, but overall the soundtrack was very pleasant!

I have yet to finish reading the extra notes, but I like the idea of knowing more about the characters' opinions and thoughts on different topics! It gives more context to those who are a bit behind on Touhou lore (me).

Considering all the care that was put into the game, the talent that worked on it, and the impressive length, I can only say kudos to the team!

Short and sweet! I kind of saw the end coming, but it didn't impair my enjoyment at all. I like that you took the time to translate it to Japanese as well! These little things add so much value to a game, especially when it's made under a strict deadline. Keep up the good work!

Wow, this game is HARD, I can't figure out stages 2-1 and 2-4 at all! I like the gameplay, but it's like I'm missing something. Even still, it feels like an authentic strategy game, and it looks like you thought carefully about the way all the stats and mechanics interact with each other.

What a nice game! I loved the art style (Reimu especially), and the soundtrack was really pleasant; the track for the first stage was the one I liked the most, the strings really made it shine! The story was interesting, it's a shame you didn't have enough time to complete it, but at least we got closure. Good job guys!

This was so interesting! I've never played Panel de Pon, though I did have a Puyo Puyo phase one or two years ago, which is similar in some aspects (not that many to be honest, but I want to believe it helped). The most difficult level for me was the tutorial, but it may have been simply because I didn't know the game; once I beat that, I finally understood how the game worked and really enjoyed it!

If I have to be honest, I didn't pay much attention to the "favourite object" mechanic because I already found it difficult enough to line up any kind of same-colour blocks, but I really appreciate how well thought-out the game is.

The story was quite fun too! I liked the humour, especially the part where Cirno got ignored (poor creature). The artstyle was nice; the board, in particular, looked just like out of a '90s puzzle game! You even took time and effort to add game modes other than the main story, which is something that shouldn't be taken for granted! Overall it's a very fun and challenging game, it really feels complete!

Lovely! I liked that the game comprised three separate stories. The chocolates and hat episodes had really cute plots and good humour; finding the hat was harder than I expected, but I managed to do it in the end! Also, I half expected Ichirin to get accustomed to sweet flavours and end up not liking Futo's chocolates, but your version is much more adorable.

I really appreciated that the third episode was mostly centered around gameplay, it was a nice change of pace! The Touhou spin on "Uno" was quite simple, but I especially liked the feng shui mechanic that let you change colours every once in a while, as I'm sure it could have become a slog without it. That was good intuition! The game glitched during the final showdown, but I won anyway, and it only happened once. It was nothing serious though, I'm sure you could have made some adjustments if you had had a bit more time!

I don't think I know of any other game with a theme song! And the art was cute all around! Overall, I really liked it, and I could see that you all made a ton of effort to bring us this game in just two weeks. Thank you!

It's incredible that you two managed to do so much in just two weeks! The visuals are AMAZING and so is the music! Some of the puzzles were quite challenging, although it would have been nice for a few more with the katana (but, as I understand it, you didn't have enough time for that, so it's ok!). The story was really cute, as well!

I LOVED it! Even though it took me around half an hour to clear it, you managed to cram so much into this VN! I really cared for the characters and their struggles, and the girls' story felt genuine and heartfelt. I especially liked how the ending wasn't just a simple "and they lived happily ever after", but Renko and Maribel also decided to help the people in our world who might be struggling with their identities and their new lives. It really feels like it was written by people who suffered through all that.

Both the characters and the backgrounds look amazing, and the music is really fitting! I'd love to see more Touhou VNs like yours!

Nice game, I really liked the visuals and animations!

I'll just say that I immediately went to follow Mollyyncy on Twitter after playing the game. :)

Keep up the good work, all of you!

Then you did a great job! I enjoyed the patterns.

I've only finished one Touhou danmaku game, so I'm not exactly a pro, but I enjoyed the few tries I attempted at yours! The slowdown mechanic is interesting and works well with the patterns you devised, although I kind of miss bombs.

I read the comments saying it was a rhythm game, but, once I started it, the narration really captured me: I completely forgot about that and got ready for some platforming action, then I realised what was going on!

All this to say that your story, despite being so short, was so good, it made me forget about everything else! And the character designs are really unique, I loved your interpretation of them.

Such a nice little game! I really like the artstyle. The gameplay is simple and yet quite challenging, it took me a bit to get the hang of it, but I managed to beat hard difficulty confidently (I'm afraid of trying out lunatic though).

Also, I can confirm that the Linux version works with no issues whatsoever!

Such a nice and relaxing game! The mechanics are really simple, but fit the mood. The artstyle is cute and I liked the descriptions that come with each fish!

The writing was really good! I think I found a couple of spelling mistakes, and the drawing style is different from the norm, but overall it looks quite professional. I especially like the fact that it has support for accessibility options.

The cursor was less responsive than I would have liked on the browser version, but overall it's a very solid game! The sprites and backgrounds are gorgeous, the story is definitely entertaining (I laughed out loud at Cirno using a golf club), and the difficulty is just right! The soundtrack is really nice too, I especially liked the music that plays once you win a match.

I really enjoyed it! It took me a while to get the hang of it though, I think you could add a brief guide just to make things clear. Also, your drawing style is so good! I love it.

I can't see what's written on the menu buttons and I can't hear any music, if there's any. I'm pretty sure the reason is because I'm running the game on a Linux machine through Wine.

It's ok if there's no fix, I just wanted to let you know!

EDIT: By the way, I played your game via browser and found it really soothing! I liked the concept, and the visuals are cute.

Interesting! I wish I could play it, but none of my friends know Touhou. I like the simple rules and I love the adventure you came up with!

I liked the simplicity of the game, and the pixel art is really nice!

The concept is really nice, I love how the characters you defeat get rolled up into the snowball! It looks like a simple game on the surface, but it actually gets pretty challenging the more you go on.
