Okay its a little complicated but you're probably going to have to install Linux on your Chromebook (you can just google a tutorial), then you can use commands to manually install the file, which should work? That's what I did to install Minecraft on my sisters computer, and I assume the process should be the same. So maybe try googling a tutorial for installing Minecraft on a Chromebook, but when they get to the part where it says something like "Copy the command pip/install/minecraft" or whatever, try replacing that with the ultrakill files? I'm not sure :/ good luck :0

Super fun! only issue I have run into so far is sudden lag spikes when opening cards, when a scene is loaded, and when the player turn is started. It doesn't seem others are having this issue so it might be an outdated driver on my end, but I also have a quite potato laptop, so it could also be some minor performance issues. Overall very polished and enjoyable, super exited to see what comes next!

This game is great! amazing puzzle design and genius mechanic to be able to perfectly utilize the limitations of Pico-8 without losing gameplay.

This is super fun and well made, great job!

Super fun! but also I don't know if I can forgive you for not making an ending where we don't kill all the little robots :,( great job using sound design and lighting to make moments feel tense and urgent, even though there's seemingly no actual time limit. The controls feel amazing and I'm almost upset there's not more tight platforming using the mechanics. The only minor gripe I have with them is that with the dash ability it seems that your directional input is eaten sometimes whenever you hold down the directional key right after you activate the ability. As long as you wait a second before you try to move it works perfect, so that could just be a skill issue on my part, but maybe something to mess around with if you feel like changing it post jam. But then again, that didn't really affect my gameplay that much, I just had to figure out what was happening and get the timing down.

P.S. Its embarrassing but I did cry when the EMP turned on when I saw the child robot, great voice work, I also spent like 30 minutes trying to find a way to not have to break through the floor at the end

Thank you so much! This really made my day, I appreciate you taking the time to type that out!

Thanks so much for recording that! I might change some things like adding respawn points, health points, and making the map make more sense. Thanks again!

Thank you so much! The crown is a collectable, spoilers for the end so only keep reading if you don't care Around the map in the castle side there's buttons, you have to click every button then go back to the original area where you'll eventually find a path  to a flower, --you pick up that flower then return to the first town in the castle area and keep going right, eventually you'll find a machine -there and by putting the flower into it (just walk into it) you win!

--Less spoiler version

Find every button (like the one at the first town in the castle) and then explore the whole map to find a flower, then find the machine and put the flower in it (walk into it) to win!

Hope that helps!

I don't think ill change anything post jam, but thank you for the feedback! I really just needed to put more time into level design to fix that since each screen size is quite small. Also originally I wanted the lack of checkpoints to be a feature, but I realized too late that it was sort of just annoying. Glad you enjoyed it!

Glad you enjoyed it! if you explore around more you will find buttons that stop them. When you get into that first town, for example, there is a button. Also I'll definitely try yours out!

Yeah I totally get that! unfortunately the game engine i use is very limited, so those controls are the only buttons I really have, glad you liked it!

Crazy fun! If you could upload a downloadable version that would be nice since my computer is bad so it has some performance problems on web.

Cool art and neat mechanics! Super fun looking around the map. The sounds don't seem to be working for me?

Thank you!

The ability works perfectly now!

That's very strange, I just uploaded downloadable versions because I assume it is an issue with certain web browsers? Anywho if you liked the game you can download that version and try it to see if it works

Super cute art, and the controls feel super good! The double jump is having some issues for me though? It likely could be a web browser issue so maybe release a downloadable version?

Super fun! the ideas are all interesting and smart! The only suggestion is that the controls feel a little slidy, and the abilities are somewhat slow to come out, which could be a choice, but for me made the abilities feel clunky. The art is also very well done, great job!

Hmmmmm how strange, ive playtested it quite a bit and never run into that, if you don't mind what browser are you using? I don't use chrome so maybe that's why?

Im going to post a new version in a few hours, if you want you can play that one and let me know if it feels better!

I'm going to go in and make the wall jump more intuitive, its much more simple than it seems you just need to not hold down arrow keys, but of course it doesn't say that so I am going to change it. Also, I feel you on the font but unfortunately the game engine I use doesn't have any other options. Definitely give it another play when the jam is rating, im gonna change a bunch!

I saw that you found a solution but ill go back and make it more intuitive since there's time left

Does the screen only go black, or is there an error message?

Thank you! also yes I definitely felt evil adding that one LOL

Super polished and fun, love how the controls work 10000/10

Thank you!

(1 edit)

Super polished and fun, not much content but I had fun so who cares

LOL pro dev

Very very fun, cool idea for controls. me gusta muchisimo, y reiaba mucho cuando jugando.

This is so much fun 10/10

Honestly pretty fun, very very simple but its made well and surprisingly enjoyable

Super cute, I wish there was more but even what there is is a bunch of fun

Are you thinking of making a modding kit or something? I want to make a speedrunning mod to make it easier to practice certain strats w/out needing to get there firs
