Interesting game, but there is a problem.
You can just keep making circle close to the tower around it, and you are immortal xD
You should add an area around the tower where you can't draw maybe or think about another mechanics to avoid that :P
Maybe like a red zone around your tower where it cost you 1.5X or 2X more ink, so you can always defend until the last second before getting hit but it's better to destroy bullet further away because it cost less ink.
So I made it to wave 53 at my first try, very nice little game.
Not so much content but the game works fine, I love the visual of the units and the variety of it.
I feel like you should try to make both players and ennemy a little bit smaller maybe like 80% of there size. I wish we could upgrade our ship or unlock new slots for weapons with the coins we get by boss.
You should really add borders to the size of the screen because right now you can just fly far away and avoid shoots by going off-screen :)
Also a nice space-music could be very good for the game, and another more epic for the boss levels. There are many free music online for you to get and it can make your game much better !

You should add roge-like mechanics.
You survived 70second, you gain 7 stars to upgrade your health, or to get more money at the start of your next game etc
Othewise it's a fun game with good sound, look and differents ennemies. Nice one for a first game and a first game-jam.

Don't know if it's a bug or just not implemented yet but triple shot and dash are just not fonctionnal, plus you can buy them multiple time for no reason.
There is a bug where the "castle" in the top of the arena don't have hitbox so you can move underneath it.
Suggestion :
-Bigger monsters should drop more gems.
-More building to build in the arena like towers that can help you shoot the ennemy and that you could upgrade too, upgrading castle to get more soldiers, moat or ditch to slow down ennemies ect.
-More things to buy when you die to get stronger next time, like upgrading your attack speed, movement speed, shoot 2 arrows then 3 (should be very expensive), maybe spells or more weapons.
-Other than upgrading your heroes, upgrading your arena could be good, like "start the game with 5gems, then 10 etc" or "start the game with 1 tower"
-We could also imagine a mine building that you could buy in-game with gem, that give you 1gem/10sec, then 2/10 sec at level two.
-Maybe try to make ennemis a little bit faster, and simple particle animation when you shoot an ennemis if you have the knowledge to make it. That's "simple" and make the game much more dynamic.
-You could add boss that appears every 3 or 5 waves, when you kill them you get a random special bonus or object, usefull to give more replayability to your game
As a game dev, I made severals rogue-like games like this one, thoses are simple and non-original features common to many rogue-like games, but hey, if they are so common it's because they are good :)

That's actually funny and if you add a bit more content and visual effect the game could be even better :)
Maybe with a bit of roguelike genre, for every round you do you get 1 star that can be spend to get bonus ^^
