This is an interesting Hide & Seek type game. It is pretty impressive that you included two game modes.  I particularly enjoyed the music & SFX. The art is good, but a little repetitive for the environments. I also didn't like the cone of vision feature much. Overall, this is a good entry!

This is a cool Mini-Metroidvania! I like the Visuals & Story setup. The music is great too, but SFX were missing in some places. I ran into some minor issues which didn't really break the game. Here is a short list:

  • Hard to spot enemies
  • Taking damage needs better feedback
  • Dash is a bit broken
  • Banshee scream ability could use a tutorial before the boss
  • Current selected ability should be displayed in the HUD

Overall, this game really captures the Gameboy & Jam themes well. Good job!

Thanks for playing. The four-color limitation made it quite challenging to make the puzzle pieces distinguishable. I agree that the game could use some more work on that front. Also, I would definitely like to add win & lose conditions post-jam.

This is clearly an ambitious game as the map area is very large. I think the art style is well done & fits the game boy vibe. I couldn't find where I was supposed to go to progress the game though.  I would be interested in a finished version of this game post jam.

Nice entry. There is some interesting world building and story in this game. I like the art style and vibe as well. I wasn't sure how to progress and some interactions seemed broken. Many dialogues would repeat & I kept dying to the flying books. This game has potential though if developed further.

Cool game with an interesting story setup. The Gameboy feel is on point, and it reminded me of Pokemon mixed with Maniac Mansion. I hit a SoftLock where the aberration kept getting me whenever I would search the school for the keys to escape.

Great jam entry! I managed to beat it despite the difficulty level. I thought the head projectile mechanic was fun and clever. The presentation of the game is really good as well. The main issue I had was placement & zoom. It was difficult to see where you would land and enemies that are approaching. Overall, this is a solid game!

Solid gameplay loop and visuals on this entry! The art style is probably the games strongest suit. The lack of audio knocks it down a couple points though.

This game is good in all categories, including visual, sfx, and theme. It fits the gameboy era very well. Good job!

The graphics are great on this one. The gameplay is solid as well. The main downside is the lack of music & SFX. I also suggest adding a coyote timer to the jump.

Nice game with some interesting mechanics. Good job!

Cool puzzle game! It was fun to make my way through the levels. Most level could be done fairly easy, except for a few that had me stumped. I like the Graphics & SFX. The game feels like it is missing some music though.

This is an excellent throwback to PSX Survival horror. The presentation is great across the board. The VA and SFX really make the experience spooky and unsettling. I did end up wandering around a lot to find out how to progress. There was one instance where I couldn't find a room because I didn't walk up to the right wall. I think it was the Nurses office.

Nice game! it reminds me of Super Mario Bros 2 with the character selector. The art is great, especially the environments.

This is a really nice, turn-based battler. The animations are really well done, which makes hits feel impactful. I made it to the 3 and couldn't defeat them. I felt there was a lack of tools & options provided to the player and the outcome kind of felt up to RNG. Overall, this is a good entry!

Cool spooky game.  Nice & short. Got spooked on the car transit cutscene.

This seems like quite an ambitious project. It looks like you have the foundation of an immersive sim here. The visuals definitely give off a spooky vibe. I did run into issues when trying to use items. I also wasn't sure what the objective was. Overall, this is a nice entry!

Cool game! it reminds me of Wario Ware mini games a bit. I think the candle level needs a bit more balancing work though. Overall, good job!

Nice game that definitely fits the Game Boy vibe. I like the graphics and theme of this game. Nice job!

Thanks for playing! The score issue was an oversight from when I had limited HUD spacing. I will change that after the rating period

Bravo! this is a truly authentic Star Wars experience. Everything from the visuals, music, & sfx perfectly matches the Star Wars vibe. I really liked the effect when things would fly right into the camera, although it did obstruct the view quite a bit. The game did run a bit long for the amount of content, but it was still a satisfying playthrough.

Nice game. This is a fun physics puzzle game that I almost beat! The last level is very difficult. Good job!

This a cool RTS/Builder type game. It is punishing at times, but it encourages experimentation with your tank builds which I liked. I disliked how cumbersome it is to select all your weapons to fire at enemies. I suggest adding a fire all button to just shoot all weapons attached to your tank. Also, adding music would definitely improve the game

Nice rhythm game. It was pretty fun once I sync up to the beat. The other instrumental tracks took a good couple minute to kick in, so I suggest introducing them sooner. The enemies could use some improvement as well. Towards the latter stages of the game there seems to be too many enemies on screen to avoid. I also suggest adding a tutorial on what the enemy colors mean, because I never figured that out.

I didn't have much trouble getting through the game. My playtime was under 10 mins, but I kinda used to Metroidvania style level design. I can see how some players would get lost. It was clear that I had to return to the spot where I obtained the radar, but I assumed that was the case since there wasn't many other options. Perhaps which area is the end area could be communicated better somehow.

This is a nice peaceful platformer focused on exploration. The level design & visuals are really well done. Its was pretty easy to navigate since most areas looked unique. This was especially true since you included an unlockable radar to help collect the final feathers. Good job!

Nice dungeon crawler with a good amount of content packed in. I liked that you could customize your playstyle with characters and equipment pickups. I didn't like how easy it was to lose track of areas that you explored previously. I suggest adding distinct landmarks in areas, so the world navigation is easier.

This is a great entry. I love the overall Halloween vibe. The puzzles are very well designed and fun to figure out. I made it around 10 levels in before I became stuck. I suggest adding a save system so players can pick up from where they left off.

Nice entry here. I like the classic Mario Bros. gameplay, and the visuals are well done. The controller support is great, but it doesn't work on the menus. to improve the game further, I suggest adding a Game over SFX & some sort of health indicator.

That is not intended. I may have to do some bug fixes after the voting period.

This is an interesting strategy game. I like the loop of building during the day and leaving your pawns ready for combat at night. I made it a few waves in, and the enemies never seemed to offer much of a challenge. I suggest some increases to the enemy difficulty. Also, I had issues where pawns became stuck trying to build something. I suggest adding a demolish and cancel building action to the game.

Here is an error I encountered which might help with bug fixes.

Do you mean that you lost the shark even though you won the fishing minigame? If so, that is intended. The Shark requires a special bait to catch.

Nice game! I like the intense metal music and the pixel art.

This is short & sweet beat-em up game! The visuals, audio, and story setup are executed perfectly. The combat feels great & impactful when you land hits. It is awesome when you dodge a knife, and it strikes another enemy. I think the addition of a back-fist attack to hit enemies approaching from the rear would enhance the combat greatly.

This is a great entry! The combat system is quite unique & engaging. The visuals & audio are well done. I did encounter a small bug after dying where your cards & health are not reset.

Nice chill puzzle game with some good music. It is fun trying to maximize your points & make an appealing looking festival. I didn't understand what each tile was supposed to represent initially. The game could use a tutorial to onboard players.

Nice game! The music & gameplay is chill. I like the puzzle mechanics & feel there is potential to develop this idea further. I like that there is a proper tutorial phase of the game before the difficulty increases. I couldn't get past level 14 though due to the difficulty spike.

This is a great entry that excels in its graphical style and creative use of the resolution. I really like miniature 3D/pseudo-3D games like this. There is a good amount of variety in the levels, enemies, & music included here. I felt like the normal blaster shot felt lackluster, but the bomb attack felt great.

Interesting game here with some nice pixel art. I couldn't really get a handle on the gameplay, but I think it is intended to be like super smash bros. It is very cool that you included local co-op as well. Good job!

This is a nice chill experience. I enjoyed the music and room interactions included here. I can definitely see the value this provides as a study companion. The only issue is that the music shuts off when you click off the game. If that can be addressed, I would definitely let this run in the background.
