Thank you! I'm thrilled you enjoyed the physics and the visual style, it means a lot!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the visuals and the car-jumping gameplay! The corruption was definitely one of my favorite things to work on, really wanted it to feel like chaos was ramping up. Appreciate the kind words!

Managed to finish it! It was a really fun game, from the gameplay to the cute sprites and sound effects, a truly fantastic experience! Tons of great references, too! Challenging at the end, but totally worth it!

Thanks for playing and for the awesome feedback!

Glad you enjoyed the atmosphere and Freeway Fury vibes! I’ll definitely look into making faster cars more available in the second stage and fix up the HUD scaling in windowed mode. The car vanish glitch and road bumps are on my list too.

I actually developed the whole game with just one level in mind. Those extra two levels and even the UFOs were added in the last two hours before the deadline! I was rushing through everything!

I appreciate the notes on the corruption theme; I’ll see how I can make it more impactful in future updates. Thanks again!

I'm glad you liked it! It's a mix of vaporwave and liminal spaces. I made the song for that level inspired by the SNES Waterworld OST and DKC Aquatic Ambience.

Yeah! Jumping from car to car is my favorite mechanic. It's still a bit rough, but I did my best to improve it with the limited time we had.

I played it, and it was fun! I especially enjoyed the jumping part and switching between the gun modes, those sfx were pretty nice!

Had a great time watching you guys play some of the games. Also, your game is really cool

It's really cool, and the glitch mechanic is super smart! Great job!

Managed to submit my game just 5 minutes before the deadline! I was dying from the stress, but it's finally done. Best of luck to everyone!

Hello everyone!

This is the first devLog for Candid a new open world game in development for pc!

Candid is being developed in Unity 3d and it will take place in Nefeli Island you will play as Kid a young delivery boy who loves to travel and explore!

The game mechanics are centered in building relationships with the inhabitants of the island while working as a delivery boy also you will be able to freely explore the game's island that I will do my best to fill it with ruins, misteries and easter eggs!.

This game is inspired by a lot of games that I have played in my life like Chrono Trigger, Golden Sun, The legend of Zelda, Harvest Moon and more!

The game is a mix of 3d graphics with 2d sprites, the game enviorements are being create in 3d and the player and npc's are being create as 2d sprites with 8 different perspectives based on the camera's position.

Some of the game mechanics being worked on are:
Day Time Cycle ( Dynamic lighting and npc's behaviors based on the day time).
Npc routines (Npc's will go to sleep, work, etc)
Inventory Management based on slots and item weight.
Packages and letters delivery to the inhabitants of the island!
Building relationship with the inhabitants of the island to get reward and complete the game's story!
Game event's based on progress and misteries resolved.

There's a lot more images and videos on the next links below!
