It's gonna be great to have it out there! I'm hyped too!!

Thank you so much for such a kind and thought through review! I'm so happy you enjoyed the first two chapters.

I'll definitely look into those accessibility options for the next update and also add warnings to the page to make sure people know there's effects like that. Thank you for pointing out those issues, I definitely want everyone to be able to experience Satan is an Astronaut to the best of my abilities.

Thank you so much for the review! We're so excited to be finishing this off hopefully soon.

I felt like such a little imp coding the "user control disabled" section, and I'm so glad it came across as a cool experience.

Thank you so much!

I just want to make sure, did the game stop at a specific point like it crashed or was it after chapter 2? We're still working on chapter 3, to make sure it can be the best it can be.

Thank you so much for playing and the review!

A really good start to what I can see would be a fun full game! The music, background art, and UI, are what stuck out to me the most. I also liked the writing , it was a fun read. Really well done!

I did come across a few glitches, the transitions sometimes showed flashes of multiple backgrounds, the game stopped with the plushie as well and I tried to save and load from there to see if that was the ending but the game didn't save, and there were points where the text overflowed from the textbox.  The sound effects were also a bit overwhelming sometimes, too loud for the most part, and the text you chose wasn't very readable.

It looks like your team put a lot of heart into this, and it ended up being a lovely entry despite cutting off at the end there so suddenly. I hope you all have the time to continue to make the game come to it's full realization!

My favourite parts: The background and character art, it was very well done! I also loved the UI, especially the opening menu. The story was intriguing and I was excited to meet all the different characters.

My suggestions: I'd get an editor for the writing, it was a lovely start to the story but there was a few mistakes that took me a second to understand. There were a few glitches I came across I know when doing these jams it's a time crunch but testing is really important.

Thank you so much for your kind words! I definitely love my graphic novels so it makes me happy to hear my inspirations shine through. Virgil deserves the spotlight of this game, he’s the true VIP.

Our team hopes to be rectifying that “mistake” very soon! We wanted to bring the most polished game as we could to Spooktober, so decided to bring the first two chapters out for the competition. I hope the conclusion to the story of the BUB and its crew will be just as jarringly good as the first two chapters.

This is such a nice thought through review. Thank you so much. As is only right, Virgil seems to be everyone’s favourite. You pinned down the themes so correctly, I’m really happy it came through well.

I’m very excited for the next chapter in this game, we have some plans 👀

thank you so much! I’m really proud of our writer and composer, the work they did was amazing.

I've been doing it for a few months now, working on a larger project. I'm originally a web designer so makes sense the interface is good. Thank you so much for giving such nice compliments.

Also thank you so much for the advice I'll check with my TextMeshPro font atlas!

Oh! Thanks so much for such a nice compliment. It is my first fully finished game yeah :) I've been working on a larger game very slowly for the last few months so there will be more incoming I'm sure!

(1 edit)

thanks so much! I worked hard to get the overlay work well in context. I’m happy it came across well.
