Today we released massive visual and content update! Read more: https://cozystorm.itch.io/one-by-one/devlog/349329/dark-roguelike-shooter-one-by...
Thank you for playing! And thanks for reporting bugs. Our little ghosts have investigated the issue and will soon kill fix that nasty bug (1).
As for reloading, this has to be a bug. Only the weapon that you are switching should be reloaded. There's a rule: only full-ammo weapon can be unequipped to avoid cheating
We'll reconsider the design of 2-2 "drought" rooms. Maybe we've gone a little too far with visual effects, so we may find some better alternatives. If you are wondering why some rooms has these effects, it means that the fire spreads extremely fast :)
Please, don't forget to follow/join Discord if you would like to see future releases. Every once in a season we're bringing something very new to the game.
Destroy your fears and problems "One by One"
I'd like our game to be played and rated
Huge game, pretty hard and puzzle-based. Once you understand the mechanics the game becomes much better. There is quite a lot of enjoyable content except for the (presumably) last level which is way to hard for me. Sometimes you just struggle to do what you want to do because of game mechanics. Still this game is very good for 48h
I'll play everyone's games here :) Hope you give ours a try
Our game is a Puzzle Shooter "One by One". The rule is simple: only one enemy can be hurt at a time. The story behind the game is to destroy all the negative aspects of the hero's life and achieve a "Happy life"
Only one screen, only one damageable enemy, only one bullet to snipe your enemy, only one hp. 6 types of enemies and 5 levels to complete
Any comments and suggestions are appreciated, have fun! https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/461596
Has it happened to anyone else?
In [Our game "One by One"] some bug caused to change the ending of the game COMPLETELY, like, reverse of what I expected. I figured it out only after the submission time ended, and, you know what... that worked well. The single bug in scene changed the meaning of the game! Still, the gameplay and how it feels in general is more important but still, the game itself made me think, even after I created and played it. I don't want to spoil or send images of how the ending looks so if you get to it, leave me a message about what you think about it
Does your game have "bugs that is a feature"? Let everyone know in the comments, I would like to play such games cause its most fun :)
P.S. Here's a cover of the game to grab your attention :)
Hi, thanks for playing and commenting! The game is pretty short and the difficulty ramp is fast indeed even after every room got nerfed the game is still hard for most people. Have you managed to complete it though?
Thank you for ideas, never thought about "open-world" future for the game, but I liek you idea and, really, we might do it in future!

Hello! Thanks for playing and commenting. You got it right, this game is meant to be difficult and sometimes you have to reload to get a slightly better rng. We've got different opinions on the difficulty, and it's pretty hard to balance it out, maybe some difficulty option work or each death could lead to an easier version of level. Some good ideas always come a bit late :)
