I like this game!
Once you grow familiar with the controls you can get really fast in it, I see a huge speedrunnign aspect there!
Overall, a very relaxing game.
I like the graphics, the only thing I would alter is the button and inventory background - it doesn't really match the aesthetics for me.
One thing I found a little frustrating is, that for the first 8 casts the fish always got away. Surely this is not intended, maybe a bias for actually catching towards the beginning of the game might be good, to keep players encouraged to play, as they had that initial accomplishment.
I really like the aesthetics of this game, the world looks and feels great! What I'd like is some form of indicator which power-ups you already have.
Sadly gameplay-wise I think I didn't get too far, what I assume should be moving platforms didn't move at all for me, and the detached shadow could't get further at the far right. Maybe I missed something to activate the platforms? I'd really like to play this game fully.
I think the idea of detaching your shadow and using it as a "second" character is really unique and great!
Thank you for the feedback!
The jump stopping to work is odd, I never encountered that. But should be easily fixable, I'll look into it.
The idea of the game is to create and share your own levels, so I hope people will find fun in creating and sharing challenging ones :)
The theme should be represented by the players ability to be deformed (squished) by moving platforms in any direction and it's ability to scale up and down when standing on blocks that are set to this.
The installer just wraps the game files (a jar file containing the actual game, a local jdk to run the game without needing java installed on your machine and two .exe files, one starting the game with and one without a console) and unpacks them, nothing more.
Maybe providing a zip file as an alternative would be an option?

I'll also try yours and others from this thread! :)
