This was really novel! Fits the cozy theme to a T and the spritework is out of this world. There's so much intent placed in each pixel that I was left stunned. The little frame around the screen too - absolutely love it. The mechanics were quite unique and done in a way I don't think I've seen before. Great work.

I really enjoyed the choice of colors and the nailed lowpoly style on the car. I'm not good at driving, so the game had me doing double drifts, but I made it work. I think I found 7 tapes before I crashed bellyside up into the lake. I found it really funny that the wheel was pulling up and down with me like an arcade game car, and loved the addition of ADHD baby subway surfers mode in the phone menu. Great game, wish more people played this
Super impressive artwork! the mummy turned out super cute and the animations look absolutely top notch!! I read the game instructions but I still kept damaging the relics. I think I would've liked to see the mummy on the right side of the screen a lot closer to the frame, perhaps if it was standing in front of the camera you wouldn't have to sacrifice the relic progression
The controls were a lot of fun! Very simple, yet slightly challenging and responsive enough to make it hit the spot. Nice work on the pedalling animations too! I like to bike in real life, and I've always found myself enjoying driving around towns and cities in videogames, so this left my lizard brain feeling very satisfied.
I feel that! I feel a lack in social interaction games like VRChat and Animal Crossing. I want to be able to log into a videogame world like an interactive discord chat and emote at people and do stuff together.
I played the game on desktop, so I was using KB M. The finicky parts came from having to manage the game with just one hand, having to pull out the glove, pick it up from the ground, pet the plant, drop the glove again and store the plant in the inventory. And it got a bit more complicated with the lamp, but only for a tiny bit before I found the light lillies and could afford a farm.
Super cute! You guys did great on the presentation, everything feels quite peaceful and refreshing, being limited to a top-down perspective and then being able to navigate the surroundings with a first-person camera felt very satisfying to play with. The little character animations, the sound effects, the funky music left a memorable impression. Also we share a game name (sort of) hehehehe
You really nailed the cozy atmosphere with the warm forest tones and chill accompanying music! It was really fun to walk around in. The light from the lamp really hurt my eyes, I wish I never picked it up! The day turning to night made me feel quite scared, but I put my faith in the comfy music that there was nothing to be afraid of. I made past the debris by jumping up the rocks, I wasn't sure if that was intended.
Super cute! I'm really impressed by the quality of the art and the music, I could really feel the inspiration from old gameboy games through the mechanics and the dialogue presentation and the minimalistic input style. I'm blown away by the scope of the game. I never figured out how to get the stuff in the screenshots, the items in store never updated from the lamp and couch in the deco store and flower - sapling - tangerine - baseball cap in the boutique. Regardless, getting such a polished game pushed out in such a small time frame is no small feat - congratulations!
I'm sorry if you experienced a softlock! The intended sequence was seeing the blooming sakura tree on week 4, tending to the tree, hearing the spirit talk to you for the final time, and then seeing the ending card with some accompanying music. If you didn't experience some part of that, then it definitely wasn't intended - I apologize. 🙏
I was immediately hooked in by the visuals. I found the circular pixel style incredibly interesting and novel. I was pleasantly surprised to see the scan mechanic actually reflect the depth of objects from the perspective we are looking from, and not just reveal the whole area for a short time. I felt like the mechanical limitations worked well to the game's advantage, where you can't immediately see the danger, and you have to make a conscious decision to scan the area and pray you don't see danger staring you right in the face (hehe). I always got spooked when I heard sounds close by or saw evidence of a person being in the house with me and wasn't able to see them. At some point I started wondering if there's any narrative horror as well, i.e. the dust is blood and we're cleaning up a murder scene. I would say the connection to the theme is a bit of a stretch, but the horror aspect is on point and more than compensates for it. I found the entire premise novel and well-executed, and so far it's my favorite submission in the jam.
I appreciated all the little gags throughout the game, though I have to admit this was excrutiatingly difficult to complete. I was stuck on simon says same as Beregon, (i thought the initial 4 notes were part of the pattern), then I got stuck on the second minesweeper challenge (i didn't know you could auto-reveal tiles), and then I got stuck on the third minesweeper challenge (i didn't know i could click on flags to reveal more tiles). I do appreciate the challenge though
