Yes, the results are cumulative! When you roll more than one die, you consider all results individually.  So that means every die rolled has its effect applied; the ones that reached the TN will have their intended effect, and the ones below TN will cause their consequences.

Hi there!  Let me see if I can help you:

1. You only need the PDF and a regular deck of cards to play. So yes, you can play it perfectly just using your tablet and any standard deck of cards you already own. The physical booklet and the custom deck of cards are optional. No need for a printer. 
2. If you purchase the PDF, you'll be offered links to purchase the physical booklet and the custom deck of cards at-cost (meaning you only pay the cost of production shipping). But again, you don't need them to play, it is just a convenient option in case you're interested.

I've read reports here and here, with possible solutions being presented for Windows and Mac users. 

I'll keep digging, but apparently there's not much I can do on my end.
