The plan for the first log was to have salamanders pop out when you light it, so you'd have to defend yourself for 30 seconds. Ran out of time for all that lol, but I mistakenly left the timer at 30 seconds. The sound effect is a really good idea!

Ok so, for all the players, you can just do CTRL + to zoom in on the screen in order to see it. It's a game jam, that stuff happens.
The cat's movement was an oddly great combination of chaotic and smooth. My cat was propelling itself all over the screen, but they still seemed to go where I wanted. Oh and banger music.
I also cannot get the guy in the top left, but my brother spent like 15 minutes on it and found out you could get two zombies up there and then have one bridge the gap by standing on the other guy's back. It's extremely finicky lol; this is perhaps one of the most rage-inducing "puzzle games" I could imagine.
I wish this game's itch.io page was all dressed up, because this game deserves more plays. Instantly started running when the player popped up and started chasing me down, sword-first. Pots were really fun to throw. Monochrome with red highlights means the game is colorblind-friendly, so bonus points there.
This is incredible! The core gameplay concept is surprisingly nuanced. Even when I thought I'd broken it with infinite coins and overlapping buildings, the constantly changing buildings and characters combined with the balance between under- and over-population made the game challenging for way longer than I thought.
Sure, switching between orcs, farmers, and guards is simple, but the fact that guards attack orcs means that converting a horde of orcs can be really risky if too much of your army is attacking them. And if all three types are in the same area, there's no way to remove the orcs. Orcs attacking towers turn into farmers harvesting from trees. Just super interesting, this game works really well!

I'm going to be honest, this game is straight up my alley. It's almost impossible to do anything successfully on your first run, but that made it really satisfying once I got the patterns down. Also satisfying: the sound effects. Crunchy.
This felt remarkably like learning a language, since the exact button presses were different even when the patterns were the same, and I had too little time to sit there and think about every pattern.
