Lieutenant Fusilier In The Farthest Reaches is a light hearted pulp novel about a robot soldier in Space Britain's army who becomes an officer. While not the first to do so, she's only like the 9th in all of British history and faces some social challenges from it, primarily from her fellow robots.

It manages to be a metaphor for both class mobility and transness. I can really relate to her concerns about standing out, being questioned about where she belongs, and her joy at seeing and being who she *wants* to be.

If another is written, I'll be very excited for it, and if this is the only one, I'll be glad for the wonderful time I had with it!

A very enjoyable read! It's a novel way to format a story and got me excited to finally read Flying Circus.

I'm glad to hear that you like it!

You're welcome! Have fun!

If you go to https://itch.io/my-purchases you can find Beam Saber in your collection and click download. This will take you to a page that has all of the Beam Saber files for download. The Playbooks are in "Squad Playbooks.zip" and "Pilot Playbooks V1.2.zip"

Alternatively, if you go to https://austin-ramsay.itch.io/beamsaber there will probably be a banner at the top saying "You own this game" with a download link below it.

Hope that helps!

The PDF is effectively rules complete at this point. The additions to it will be more art, fiction, and layout work, however, for those require time and funds that have been primarily spent for the last two years on finishing the print run of the core rulebook. Recently, I have begun slowly ramping back up the processes needed to finish the rest of the details.

There are currently no plans for a physical release of Stardost Memento. While I would like to release a physical copy of Growing Conflict, that would require another crowdfunding effort and I have other priorities at this time.

There is no hard rule on how to reduce squad goal clocks aside from doing what matches the fiction. Those are both good suggestions, and you could also do a Long Term Project to similar effect, but you must remember that Beam Saber is a game about how The War grinds people down. Very rarely can you fully stop systemically supported evil deeds.

It's a standard TTRPG so, 3-5 players plus a GM, but 4 players is probably best so each player can have their own specialty.

Hello, Beam Saber is part of the Bits And Mortar program that provides PDFs to people who bought games at their local gaming store. If you follow this page's instructions you should be able to get the PDF.

https://www.bits-and-mortar.com/how-get-pdfs

The plan remains the same: excess copies of offset printing will be sold through IPR and POD copies will be available through DTRPG. No second print run is currently planned.

Here's a KS update from today that discusses the current state of offset printing and POD printing for Beam Saber: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/austinramsaygames/beam-saber/posts/3856459

Thank you for letting me know. Glad you're enjoying the book!

Currently hard copies are not available for sale as the pre-orders are closed, but they will eventually be available for sale through Indie Press Revolution and as a Print On Demand item on DriveThruRPG.

Thanks!

Not yet, but if you follow me on Itch or any other social media I'll certainly make a post when those items become available for purchase.

This is just the PDF. Currently hard copies are not available for sale as the pre-orders are closed, but they will eventually be available for sale through Indie Press Revolution and as a Print On Demand item on DriveThruRPG.

This is something I would love to do, but it's a very big undertaking since the act of translation would also require changes in layout. Hopefully someday!

Thank you for your feedback. If you have feedback in the future, it can be sent to BeamSaberRPG at gmail dot com.

I'm glad that you had a good time with it!

Thank you for letting me know. In the future, feedback can be sent to [email protected]

Thanks for letting me know! If you have any further feedback, please email it to [email protected]

Hello,

Have you been able to resolve this situation by following charlesmoore99's suggestion, or do you require that your download key be resent to you?

Good to hear that you like them!

You only need the storage upgrade if you want to end Downtime with more than 4 of each Supply type. Any Supply Points beyond the Squad's maximum (base 4, 8 with the first level of Storage, and 16 with the second) are "wasted" if not spent.

Customizing non-Kickstarter pilots, aka Ronin, was added with V1.9 by HBS IIRC. You go to the pilot in the barracks and click on the customize button below their portrait.

Part of the purpose of the Kickstarter was to get the funds to bring it to V1.0. Currently contracted artists, writers, and layout designers are working on getting it finished. That said, the rules ARE complete; any future changes to the book's text will be typo fixes and clarifications.

No, it is intentionally there to give you a better idea of what the final version will look like.

If you mean one available as a google spreadsheet it is already linked to in the Player Resources section of the pdf.

If you mean a printable sheet it is one of the available download pdfs.

If you mean something else, then there is no plans for it but if you would be kind enough to describe it, there might be in the future.

Also weird since at least some of the people who I asked to check the download were using Firefox. Thanks for the update.

I've asked several other people to try downloading it after I saw your comment and no one has had any issue with it. I'm sorry but I don't have a solution to your issue.

BackerKit pre-orders are still open!

I'm glad you like them!

The Best Around is the newest TTRPG from Austin Ramsay Games! Built on the Firebrands Framework by Meguey and Vincent Baker, this game is about intense and inspired competitions. Whether you want a lethal martial arts tournament, a hopeful singing competition, or an overly edited for drama cooking show, The Best Around has you covered! So give this game a try and FIGHT FOR YOUR DREAMS!

Send an email to [email protected] and we can discuss it.

It is meant to be $300 USD because the contents are part of what you get if you purchase Beam Saber. I only created this so that I could provide Kickstarter Backers access to the Session Zero documents before they got access to the full game.

I've heard from some other backers that they haven't had trouble with getting V0.52. I'd like to ask you to: 1) try again in a couple hours in case it's Itch being weird. 2) If that doesn't work contact Itch support with your download key and the issue you are having. 3) If they aren't able to help you email me at [email protected] and let me know what has happened.

Good game! I really enjoyed this.

The receipts for BackerKit purchases get sent to [email protected] and I use that account to then send download keys to the emails associated with the BackerKit receipt. It's not an automated process, so it sometimes takes me a couple hours to see the receipt and then send it out. I don't have any new receipts currently, so you should have gotten your download key emailed to you.

That player count recommendation is based on my personal GMing style. I have GMed Beam Saber for 5 players before, and in those games I often feel like I can't provide enough spotlight on any of the characters. It feels very much like "alright, you did your action, but we can't really follow up on it because it's been too long since this other player has had the spotlight, so we're going to jump over there and EVENTUALLY get back to the follow up on what you just did."

If you aren't concerned about that issue when GMing, then the other considerations are that the Squad will have more resources (stress, quirks, gear, Harm/Damage, etc) to spend in each Mission, and that the game doesn't scale Supply Point income with the number of Players. This means that individual Missions won't press the group hard, but that what they do spend will be harder to recover, giving the game a stronger sense of The War being one of attrition.

Hope that helps.
