This is AMAZING!!!! Thank you!!!!

v1.4 was a off-brand experimental update with an infinite time mechanic brought back by popular demand.

Eh, not feeling it anymore! Took it down. Made comparing scores between versions really difficult. May be best to flesh it out as a separate mode for Catalog.

Must be a bug. Will make it even rarer in the next update :)

Strange! Not a clue what could be happening there. Shoot me an email and I'll make things right.

The download is a .pdx file which can only be installed and played on a Playdate.

Currently they’re similar, but only the Catalog version will be supported with new modes and improvements. No timeline yet!

A fix for the crash has been submitted and should go live when Panic gets back from vacation. Sorry about that!

also 1.4 includes the short lived time bonus. let me know if you'd like that removed for some v1.5 update.

oh weird, I should have double checked.
Sorry for the trouble! v1.4 should now be available on the main page alongside v2.0.

Hi again!
Root Bear v1.4 can now be found in the dev post.
You may have to uninstall newer versions.
Let me know if you have any issues!

I can look into re-providing a v1.4 build soon, but no promises!

Thank you! And great idea, will do!

Keep a close eye on this page...

No plans for that, but in the meantime, you can download the Playdate SDK and use the simulator for a 'Windows' version.

Fixed, sorry about that!

Stay tuned...

stay tuned!

I'll look into it!

Oooh interesting. I'll move the game to the latest SDK and try to get an update out tonight.
Truly appreciate your patience and help with troubleshooting.

No save data is correct- there is nothing saved to the Playdate.

I'll have to reach out to someone at Panic. This game is installed on three separate Playdates, and it runs perfectly on all of them.

Mysterious!

Did you try resetting the Playdate by sticking a paperclip into the little hole inside the crank recess for a few seconds?

I'm honestly a little stumped, but from what little knowledge I have, it's possible this is a firmware issue.

And yes, forgot to increment the version code to 1.2. Should now be fixed.

I still am unable to replicate. 1.2 fixes a few more issues and may be worth a shot. Is there any chance you can send me a crash log?

I also recommend doing a full power cycle by using a paper clip in the small hole located inside the crank dock. I've heard that can clear up some issues.

Thanks for following up, will investigate.

Apologies, will investigate!

Sorry for the trouble. I sideloaded the currently live build and could not replicate. Could you verify your Playdate OS version? (Mine is 1.12.3)
