As someone who's been following the development of this game for many years now (one could almost say since the initial concept), there's a gravitas with playing the brand new demo.

You aren't just playing a demo. You're playing the culmination of so many hours of work. You're seeing the results of someone's singular determination coming to life. The blood, sweat, tears, and the creator's absolutely steeled resolve to see that this story gets told. You're seeing one man's endless creativity come to life, no longer confined to the eternal dance of "coulda, shoulda, woulda".

I've been watching my best friend make this game for years now.

This is not just a demo. It's a promise of something greater. It's a taste of a story that is so inherently fun. It's a get-to-know-you with utterly loveable characters that will, no joke, live rent-free in your brain. It's a sampling of catchy tunes created by another insanely talented individual. The writing is funny, so witty, and even thought-provoking. In this day and age of video games that just don't hit right, this game could very well fill a void that was left behind by Undertale, and no doubt could be something equally beloved.

To say that I am impatiently waiting for the full game would be an understatement. But until that day arrives, I am more than content to play this demo again and again, and dream of what will be.
