AI art will never achieve the beauty of pixel arts! And cost? Does making your own art require money? I can close an eye because these developers did put some work nonetheless, coding is no easy matter, and it's an achievement itself. But coding is also a skill that can be improved, just like art. Now, I'm not saying that the developer should pay artists, because I don't deny that they cost a fortune, and that was the reason why I started drawing myself. We enjoy hentai games not for the gameplay mechanics, but for its NSFW content. The developer must keep making these games, maybe make some with Koikatsu/HS and sell them at a small price, and while doing it, practice a bit in art. I feel like I'm being exaggerated now, and I think I said too much already. Honestly, I'm not a fan of Kokiatsu/HS games, but there was work behind it in a way. Also, AI art pixel art looks like ass, that's my main complaint. That said, I will support the developer if he wants an artist in the future. I may not be a great pixel artist, but I'm putting work to improve my skills!
pixel art is the least enjoyable for me.
Also I myself can neither code nor draw. Both are skills I highly appreciate. That doesn't mean I only want hand drawn art or code.
In the case of hentai games the average quality is pretty low, with some really good games standing out but also lots of trash. So at least make the trash more easy on the eyes. But not every game with ai art is trash.
In the end it all comes down to personal taste.
