The potential is there!

Both the planet and the spaceship look great, and you even managed to implement atmospheric scattering! Flying around felt good; nice and responsive and I liked the lock-on targeting system. Unfortunately it was very tough to take down enemies after the initial head-on approach and usually I would be able to take down a single enemy and would then be shot down by other mice whilst trying to maneuver around again, perhaps that's just a matter of getting more used to the controls. Sometimes toggling the radar on and off did not work for me, but you had mentioned that you were still dealing with the bugs. In terms of graphics I'd advise you not to mix smooth (spaceship) and flat (planet) shading, but that can be a matter of personal preference.

I think its a very impressive and ambitious first game, keep it up!

Thank you for the feedback, much apreciated! I'm glad you liked the spaceship looks and feel, and the atmosphere. I'm afraid the difficulty level is a bug... it was too easy the day before the deadline, and the correction was fatal :(
The advice on smooth/flat surfaces is welcome! It was an "artistic" choice, and I wasn't sure about it. Just curious abou what can be done without jarring with players eyes to twist a bit low poly styles
