This game is in a mixed bag but there are a few things I do love from this game:

1) Good art and music - I can tell there is quite an effort put into the making of this game. It actually looks pretty decent - with an option menu to boot. Such a small polish, but its nice. The music is a bit bland howevr and I won't say it's the best, you could say it's servicable - but at least it's your own music. More power to you!

2) Perhaps one of the more inventive innovations of the theme - having to slash enemies to rewind them to a spot where you recall - very satisfying when pulled off correctly - more on this below.

On the other hand, I think the general feel of the game needs more work, here are a few things of what I mean, by the way these are subjective to me and may not always be objectively true:

1) The mechanics are arguably, quite complex - and could make do with a better tutorial system. I think your team either needs to decrease the difficult curve (fight 1 enemy first instead of 3 to get used to the mechanic), or have a better tutorial system to better introduce the mechanics. There was quite the wall of text - I didn't even realise that the recall move was the one used to kill the skeletons.

2) For a very intensive game as this, the controls become paramount and I can't say it feels the best. It's hard to tell when I'm making a hit, how long my range is, and why I'm getting hit. Sometimes when I think I'm hitting left, my character was still facing right and forces me to take hits. The controls do not feel as responsive as a result - I think your team needs to focus on sound design, making sure that when you character gets hit, make them play a hit sound. Or when you successfully kill skeletons, there needs to be sound for that too etc.

3) I was never able to finish the game as it was too difficult, and the death is too punishing. This is partially because it is created as a jam game, so I don't think you should restart the entire game everytime you die - it's too punishing and can detract players from trying to finish the game.

These are some of my thoughts. This game is a polished rock to say the least - it has a lot of good potential, has some good features now but it's hard to recommend at the moment - sorry about that. With that said, if you ever come around to revisiting this game in the future, I would be quite hyped to see what further improvements are made!

Thanks a lot for your comments!  This is our first game so any feedback is greatly appreciated
