I'm on mac and when I try to open the Lancer NPC data file it says I need an app for that, anyone know what app I need for that?

You need the COMP/CON app, available either as a download or in web browser at compcon.app

You just go there and click "Content Manager", then click "Install Content" and import the .lcp file.
