Great puzzle game, pretty relaxing to play. Interesting story, wonder what happens when they get to the moon.
Interesting gameplay mechanics and amazing music, you should upload the soundtrack

Hey, I composed the music for the game, and I just wanted to say thanks for the kind words :)
The tracks were specifically designed in a modular way for the game, so there isn't a normal song to upload, but I think I could arrange them in a way to make it work. Will definitely let you know if I do. Thanks again!
Very nice game. Excellent execution. I loved the music. Was just starting to wonder if it was just this piano loop when the guitar came in. Loved the sound of it.
Genuinely enjoyed this and it's one of the few games I'd actually pay to play if a lot more levels were added and possibly some story behind it. On top of that I have never made a 3D game so I was extremely impressed by this. The main enjoyment behind this was that I wasn't finishing this so I could write a proper review but instead finishing this because I wanted to.
Issues: Crouching causes weird camera angles, I got launched by the giant box and I am now stuck in the map, anyone out there? can I be saved? *cries*
Thanks a bunch! Yeah unfortunately if you got stuck there you are stuck. We've hopefully fixed it for a post-jam release. You could replay the game skipping the puzzles with "K" to try again.
Brilliant! I really enjoyed this game. I spent a bit of time wrapping my head around the concept - nevertheless the game has been really great!
Amazing job!
Saw this on the stream and had to play it. Really really well done, the puzzles are perfect, each point where your perspective changes feels so cool. Probably the most fun I've had with a game this jam, and also top marks for use of the theme.
I guess you're already aware of some of the performance issues and weird clipping, but I appreciate the music/sfx slider details and puzzle restart quality-of-life that it balances out the technical implementation imo
Is this how the end is supposed to look like? I think the big jump I did not from the middle but from the edge broke something lol
Ah, yeah this is a bug. Sorry about that. Seems to only happen on some computers. We've fixed it for a post jam version.
Hey man, this is a good game and fun to play. First Jam game is playable more like more than over 10 minutes. Bravo!
The whole atmosphere is like from the Portal series: Each time you complete puzzle, the story opens. Each hidden room is like a treasure and never know what comes with it. Puzzles has a right amount of challenge (I guess - to be the first levels on the game). Music is good but not looping good, so it is good only for a while. Boxes could be more detailed, like - those are hard to fit in the laser-line concept at the same time.
"Putting moon in the box" or "how boxes are treated" are not too "interesting" questions and though's, which is very cool in relaxing games and where the atmosphere is interesting enough - not too deep, not to challenging to think.
This game on play has lagging, low performance on fps- on something like that. I'm only wondering too how the puzzle mechanics works. I have no idea why some boxes moves and some box not to move, but while I'm able to solve puzzles by guessing, it's fine but not interesting enough. There is an example in below (picture): why this block is not moving up? Why there are carton-like boxes i can't move to anywhere? If the box would be made from steel or seem to have some kind of machine inside it, the thing would be different.
I think you should also add a feature you can pull boxes by left mouse key, and push them by pressing right mouse key, by some other key (like R-key). I would like to see this in the store (mobile device or Steam, etc.) because this game has a really good start and it seems to be already over half way there.
yeah, the performance is quite bad, sorry about that :( in the build for the jam, the whole world exists the whole time, instead of loading in as you reach new areas.
so in the picture you posted below, that rail is attached to the box. which is visually indistinguishable from a box that is connected to a rail, which may not make for good design, but it's what we ended up with at the deadline.
This was soooooo friggin' good ! The longest I've played a jam game in forever. Solved every puzzle, it was just such a clever take on the theme and the final mechanic *chef kiss*
If I had to nitpick, some of the logic was hard to understand. There were definitely moments I was like "yeah I should be able there no ?" and I couldn't. Same with the green bars, sometimes you only needed a box on one side and sometimes on both sides. Resetting the whole puzzle on falling off was meh, and finally, moving on top of another box was clunky, I has to reset once or twice because the moving box would kick me out.
But really those are really just nitpicks, fantastic puzzle game top to bottom.
I've rated this game with prob. the highest marks so far. While solving the puzles the music is relaxing and everything works smoothly. I really enjoyed the time playing the game. Definitely, there is some Portal vibe. I didn't dig that much the anime face of the 'boss'. Just my personal opinion, I didn't find it to fit with the rest of the game.
Great work!
I absolutely loved it, but I couldn't finish it, the big box at the end couldn't take me up, I just was going straight through it, also my fps was really really low, so that took a bit from the experience. But enough of the bad when there's so much good. I adore the puzzle design and the game idea. You guys took a very simple principle and expanded it for a span of what, 20> levels? Incredible. The evolving music was also really really amazing. Everyone who worked on this deserves a pat on the back :)
Thank you very much! :) Yeah unfortunately there were some physics-based bugs like that one. Standing in the middle of the big box sometimes helps to stay on it.
This is very well polished, great job!
I really appreciate the option to skip puzzles, there were a few that I got stuck on that seemed a lot harder than a number of the later puzzles. It's great that you gave people the chance to keep playing!
Thank you! Yeah, the option to skip puzzles is pretty necessary, since we opted not to do a level select or have multiple puzzles accessible at once, because we wanted a linear connected world for thematic reasons. Also, when ordering the puzzles I purposely didn't put all the hardest ones last in order to mix up the pacing to hopefully be more pleasant to play, and to group puzzles with similar ideas together.
Neat little game, very well made puzzles. Good introduction to the mechanics of the boxes. All and all great fun and nicely made.
Really fun puzzles, and a great atmosphere and overall vibe to the game, really, really satisfying to figure them out.
Awesome work, I had a lot of fun with it!
This game seems so interesting! I wanted to play more but I can't seem to get passed the 2nd puzzle. There must be something I'm missing. I wanted to jump on top of a box but my jumps were tiny - not enough to get me up there?
Thanks! The jump is actually not used for any puzzle, it's just there for fun. The second puzzle is solvable, just gotta pull the box in the right ways. You can also press K to skip to the next puzzle, which is explained in the 4th puzzle, unfortunately, haha.
Always impressed by good puzzle design and your team did an amazing job. The difficulty curve is good and I had lots of fun. I really don't have anything negative except maybe it randomly lagged my computer a few times. Good job!
Such a cool idea for a puzzle game! I love the way the boxes can move from one area to another. I really wish there was a bit more indication of what areas will affect the path it can slide on and what can't, like maybe the rail lights up a certain color same as the box. I found myself just tugging at the box in all sorts of directions not really understanding the consequences of the push and pull. This got especially tough in the rooms where the rails moved with the boxes. It didn't seem like there was a reliable way to get it to work.
Great game though! The messages and tutorial stuff was perfect. I really love the testing cube style thing thats here!
What a brilliant idea for a puzzle game. Reminds me of a mix between Portal and The Witness, it was also a great interpretation of the theme. Had a bunch of fun playing, well done!
Box is moving and not a Bird
So far I've only played two games for this jam. Despite that I am positive that this is the best game this jam will offer!
Whenever the game seems like it's over, there is another. The becomming a box yourself part was out of nowhere but so good!
At first glance this reminds one of portal, but this could actually be just as good if not better.
Please do us all a huge favor and make a full release of this game! I would definitely play it!
Ahahah. Box is moving and is not a bird is correct! Yeah, this was my first game with Godot and the other programmer is very new to Godot as well. We didn't know we had to tag the build as Release to disable the ouput window :)
Glad you liked the game :)
I've played over 60 games for this jam and I stick by my previous statement. I still think this is the best game! Very good job!
Loved!
First impression "it looks like Portal, must be a puzzle and must be fun"... it was lol
- i thought about "edge limitation" only when read "boxes do not fear edge"
- mood really relaxing, clean scenes and interesting character, awesome
- i had a few difficulty to understand which boxes were able to take bars with them
- does the level with 2x2x1 box as elevator with comment "moving boxes are dangerous" is completable? the collision do not take me up
- completing puzzles is satisfying
- NOOOOOOO i was at the end (i think), with giant box and giant plane, but i've compenetrated with that giant box and stucked inside... even Resetting level do no helped...
i was around 255 moves but wasted a lot of them rip
Thanks for playing! :) Good notes.
- Ah, that box is supposed to take you up, maybe that's caused by having low framerate / not super-powerful computer (the game is quite unoptimized, sorry)
- Oh no! Sorry you got stuck. We hadn't seen that bug where you're still stuck after resetting. You were at the end!
what! the boxes all move on their EDGE!
:)
really sorry about the getting stuck in the giant box. that was my fault. i know patrick said you were at the end, but i think maybe you were just at the Edge. had you jumped over it and made your way to the boss? but anyway, thanks for playing, glad you liked the game.
Damn funny man lmao
Btw i've tried again the game skipping all puzzles just to arrive at the end and got the same result, i think that my low low PC continue to get stuck inside like the "elevator platform" that i cant use
Btw i'll try once more just to be sure, i've really love the game, literally the first played at jam completed
