Very fun game. I feel like however the lack of a "win state" that I was able to find is the one thing that the game left me down on. The overwhelmingly red menus were also something that toning down just a bit would have been greatly appreciated. Music is good, but having some way for it not to restart each time you change to and from the menu would have been nice.
Very cool visuals and good music. I also found a bug in the settings menu where everything is set to "ON" when you open it, even when you have already disabled music or sound.
The music is nice and the art style is also nice. I took me a while to figure out that the boost/dash is in the direction of the mouse :p so I got stuck at the part with the button in the first level.
The sound effect of the text appearing is a little to loud for my taste. But the music though.
Thanks! Yeah I didn't really pay too much attention to how loud the sounds were, since it was one of the last things I implemented.
I really liked the interpretation of the theme in this one, although it took me a while to realise that I needed to defeat all enemies in the stage to unlock red doors (I think). The music and sound design is really top-notch, and fits the hacker/agent vibe of the levels and narrative. One thing I would change is adding a visual indicator (or a sound) that lets you know when the default character can use their dash attack again. Overall, I really loved the idea and I definitely think I would enjoy seeing this concept prototype as a fully fleshed out game. Great work!
Thanks for the feedback! I was actually going to add an indicator for the attack refill, but I was running low on time, so I didn't end up implementing it. And I probably should have made the red doors thing clearer, yeah.
