I agree with Chereb, this is exactly like an old school Creepypasta you would see on Reddit!
I will admit I was skeptical at first about this title, but overall seriously ended up enjoying it. Despite it being probably one of the most simple games I have seen so far, it uses that simplicity to trick the player into a false sense of security! Not only that, it does this exceptionally well!
My only complaint is indeed how short it is and the fact that it almost borders too simple.
Never the less, you have made an excellent example of how less can be more! Great job!
Thank you :)
I'm not sure if the controls are intentional or not, but I didn't have a good time with both mouse or keyboard.
Anyway, I liked the game.
Thank you for the feedback! Yeah, both ways ended up being pretty wonky, I'd definitely have to tweak it in the future.
Reminds me of an old school Creepypasta. Its charming, I would love to see more from this concept.
Thank you!
Clicking the sides of the screen didn't work for me, but arrow keys did. The first time playing through we didn't realise that you had to keep going back over the pictures to get the ending, but got it the second time around :)
Thanks for the reply! Yeah sometimes the navigation can be wonky, I'll try to improve that in the future and make some instructions more clear as I felt like some things were a bit too vague.
Dang this was creepy!
Thanks!
Really really simple concept but I quite liked that something so simple can have a bit of a horror factor. Reminds me of those Hotmail ghost chain mails that used to scare me as a kid.
I feel to expand on it, perhaps more pictures that string together an implied backstory would add a bit more to chew on, and a little more impact. But I appreciate the idea behind this.
Thanks! I hope to add more to this in some way in the future.
Uhm, I know that the rules of the jam were pretty lax but I'm not sure I would classify this as a game. I see the idea you were driving at, and it's a neat idea. Execution would need a lot more oomph though.
Also, it was very unlclear where i need to click to skip to the next image until i figured it out halfway. Some indicators would be nice
Yeah honestly this ended up being more of a proof of concept of sorts rather than a full game. I hope to make a full game with an improved version of this as an element in some way at some point.
I also wished that I could've made the instructions more clear at the beginning. I remember thinking as I was uploading that I should maybe have made it more clear but I was already basically out of time :/
